Hey, that Octo song is pretty good. Don't I know you guys from somewhere? Good vocals from the Dog Man. Would have been better with a live drummer, but you can't have everything.

I saw Adrian Legg years ago in Madison, Wis. Not only did he play amazing guitar, but he told some funny stories to boot.

Songs that DON'T baffle would be a shorter list. But what fun would that be?

Re: Wall*E
I have to second the notion that The Incredibles is the best Pixar film. I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I think The Incredibles is funnier and more exciting than Wall-E. Wall-E is very good, and well worth seeing. You can't argue with the health/environmental messages. But hey, I als...

After watching this on DVD over the weekend, I have to upgrade my earlier review from good to very good. Much funnier than I remembered from the theater.

Five years ago seems like yesterday. It's newscasters who appear to be in teenage beauty school that make me feel old. I'm watching the news, thinking "this punk is some sort of financial expert? Not bloody likely!" As for fictional powers, let's see, how about Felix the Cat? Or the Wonder...

Re: Kung Fu Panda
Funny, I just picked up this DVD today for my son. We saw it in the theater together also. I'd say it's good but not great. It held my interest, but it didn't make me laugh too often. Solid entertainment, but not a must-see. We'll see how it is on DVD - sometimes these animated movies get better wit...

How could I forget this one - Dogtown and Z-boys. Great documentary about the early skateboarding scene, with a great rock & roll soundtrack. Alice Cooper, James Gang, Stooges, Hendrix, Thin Lizzy, T-Rex.

Re: Mash-up
DJ Nick Nice makes some tasty mash-ups. Here's a link to one that starts with "Dirty Deeds" mashed with "We Will Rock You."

I googled "swedish names" but couldn't find any swedish boys' names with seven letters. Spud could be trying to throw us off the trail here.

Not on the list, eh? Well, how about Ray Cojones Freeman? Ray Cutlips Freeman? Ray Coochie Freeman? I will not stop offering stupid alternatives until you reveal your full name.

Toy Story 3 will be in 3-D. I kid you not. Could be awesome, could be Walt Disney destroying the greatness that was Pixar.Paco Del Stinko wrote:Isn't the 3-D stuff making a comeback or something? I thought that I read that somewhere. You'd think it might be easier nowadays.

Interesting. Several different reviewers have suggested that our song sounds like it was meant for kids. Hmmm . . . . . perhaps we should pitch our next CD to the people at Walt Disney Co.? Kaching!

Aardwolves - Like early Beck, lo-fi but very compelling. Finding Nemoy - Like Lou Reed's "Carrying a Gun" but way cheerier. Andrew Reist - Guitar riff reminds me of Lou Reed's "Adventurer". Johnny Cashpoint - Great lyrics. Chorus makes me think of XTC. Tuba Toothpaste - Like Prin...

Re: Chill out, already (Everybody Calm Down reviews)
As Octothorpe's drummer (at least for this week), I have to disagree with nyjm's suggestion that the tempo is off. The drumming may be goofy and amateurish, but the tempo is solid.
