Besides, he was really a guitarist that just filled in. Everyone knows that.

Re: If it's in the cloud, can I still listen to it? (prefight)
I looked at the references and the musical ones at least are all or mostly from the U.K. beginning in the 80's. Yep - I think Aristophanes played bass for A Flock of Seagulls Didn't realize the Aristophanes reference was to a musical. But I guess Greek plays had music in them so I should have. More...

I looked at the references and the musical ones at least are all or mostly from the U.K. beginning in the 80's. I'd think it entered the social conscience of you nice folks across the bowl more than here. I don't have any memory of reading about it or any references to it. But then I'm a forgetful g...

It looks like I'll be in... might be bringing friends. I thought the title odd and not very inspiring and then got an idea 5 minutes later and had the song written in no time.... now I'm off to record.

Re: Make sure your seat backs and tray tables... (Hard Landing)
Thanks for the reviews. I'll get to my reviews in the next day or two (been out of town for holiday.)
I just wanna thank you all for the positive comments. I had zero time to record this and it's not even half finished. (Not that my finished would be much better.) Thanks again.

I'm in, but totally unhappy. The good news is that I'm getting lots of overtime and making the cash.

I got the song written and a rough recording yesterday. I've started on a slightly more polished version today but am already hitting road blocks. If I don't get the recording done today the mix won't get done by Friday.

Nancy Rost – Very creative and inventive. I can picture a funeral scene in a cult flick with this song being the only dialogue. Almost an ‘oh brother’ type of song for a more modern adventure. You get a vote for being the most unique and sparking my creative fire. Far Off Land ft Wise – I couldn’t q...

Re: Caught Sleeping? Write a song!
Started and finished this morning. A rushed job if there ever was one. I hit send on time but it looks like I may have been 2 minutes late in arrival. Stupid pig. This is my third or fourth entry if it made it in time.
No love song here.

Had an idea for a song today. Will probably get to it next week. If I do this will be my fourth songfight. Is it good or bad that I'm trying to find things that will go over well with this crowd?

Re: Maid to be plaid? (Made to Be Played Reviews)
Pigfarmer Jr .- Lyrics are rather obvious. Ever hear “Indiscipline” by King Crimson. Now there’s a clever song about a guitar. I’ve never heard a pick up on an acoustic I’ve liked. A microphone is much preferred. The playing is alright, a little sloppy timing wise. I take it no click track was used...

Re: Maid to be plaid? (Made to Be Played Reviews)
That's a very good point.
I guess it's okay to vote for songs on your own criteria and opinion regardless of what those may be. It's up to the individual to interpret the challenge as they see fit and enter or not at their own discretion.

Another question: How much of a "stickler" are folks for the phrase "Made To Be Played" to actually be in the song somewhere? Here at Song Fight! we make songs that go with the title. As you may have noticed with many popular (and unpopular) songs out there, titles are not requi...

Re: Maid to be plaid? (Made to Be Played Reviews)
I listened and voted. I'm kind of surprised there weren't more songs about guitars. unfortunately - because mine is played on a guitar, I think people will assume mine is about a guitar - but I never mention one in my song and assume it could just as easily be about a rusty old trumpet or a dusty c...
