Re: Greetings, Ancient Stag O' Mine (HMOH Reviews)

Re: SONGFIGHT! LINER NOTES

I heard a reference in the most recent reviews saying something along the lines of "Finally, an old school songfighter!". This inspired me to list the 2938429384 band names I've submitted as in the past. ? Terror in Tiny Town I don't remember what the band name was supposed to be, but it h...

Re: Greetings, Ancient Stag O' Mine (HMOH Reviews)

A bit of dark irony...during the week of this song, my dad's old heart crapped out, leading to a hospitalization and three stints. In good news, he lived. Hello, dad's old heart! Anywho, the reviews. Abjure - This song makes me wanna do the happy head nod side to side. Some of the harmonies are a li...

North Carolina, come on and raise up. Take your shirt off. Whirl it around your head. Spin it like a helicopter.

Re: Greetings, Ancient Stag O' Mine (HMOH Reviews)

queef mcbeef: Some will write this off as annoying noise, but I rather enjoyed it. A good mix of sounds. The story is kinda hard to follow, though. Was HMOH mentioned/referenced, or was this a pre-existing piece? Points off for that, ya know. (- 30) Why, yes it was! I believe the lyric was "he...

Re: Live Fight

I incorporated samples of live performances, thus making mine vaguely follow the optional challenge. Anywho, queef's in.

Re: Live Fight

I have not submitted my track yet, as my ladyfriend flew up here to visit me (and help me with my lyric writing). Expect deep insights about the current condition of humanity and the depressing reality of glacial retreat on subarctic landscapes. And beef.

Re: Rest is Peace (Peace is Rest reviews)

Okay, so my girlfriend and I split the reviews. Her parts are in parenthesis. And I'm nicer. Chekhov's Raygun - Well, you're flowing better than last time. And what? Guitar? (This sounds like someone I've heard before, but I have no idea who. It kinda sounds like the guy from the bloodhound gang) Yo...

Re: Make sure your seat backs and tray tables... (Hard Landing)

Hello, friends. My name is R. Mosquito, and this week I am one half of The Chthonic Youth. We've been on sabbatical. I am fairly surprised that we were the only ones copping Milton this week. Q. McBeef. THIS IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. But I don't get how it ties into the title. The opening sample ...

Re: Make sure your seat backs and tray tables... (Hard Landing)

Chekhov's Raygun - SYNTH. This is a delightful little bit of electro weirdness. I really like the cop/person on the side of the road dialogue...makes me think of Jay Z, which was probably understandable. I'm slightly confused by the lyrical content though. I got kind of bored by the end of it though...
