Abom, your entry made my day. Thanks for submitting that. It's foaming at the mouth with fun. Totally. Surely Plat the Piano Man should have some alternate challenge just for him. You're in luck: I'll be studio-less Sat-Wed, which means I have just a few hours to skirmish and submit an entry by earl...

State of Emergency by The Bovine Recyclery featuring Bjam! (AKA "Silly official, body soap is for bodies") I was keepin' it clean and mindin' my own business when that was exactly what my top-loader didn't. I took out my clothes, found they were composed of fabric and thread and... barbec...

For me, tonight is string-together-a-song-so-your-friends-have-adequate-time-to-help-you-with-vocals night. Unfortunately I don't have great lyrical dreams yet, so it might turn into find-a-groove-and-screw-your-friends-in-a-naughty-way-and-by-naughty-I-mean-timecrunchybad-not-sexual night . QotD: 8...

Do the vocals have to be performed exclusively by guest(s)?

If not, is there some expected "minimum" (e.g. 50%+ of vox by the guest), or is it "at your discretion"?

Thanks!

I'm also curious if any of you folks have opinions about MIDI input for drums that's somewhere between cheap-o basic keyboard and an electronic kit. You might already know this, but I've been doing keyboard-based drumming for quite a while; nearly all CowEx songs have this. And I mean nearly single...

Brownie Points by The Bovine Recyclery (A.K.A., Kool-Aid Man gets upset that Betty Crocker discontinues her increasingly-disappointing point program) Oh no ! OH YEAH! Kool-aid man's gonna break down her brick wall. He hates the scam. See, he's been saving up some stamps cut from Betty's boxes just ...

I was doing some last-minute grocery-store research to finish up some lyrics. The lyrics laud the Kool Aid Man for having points, and disparage Betty Crocker for discontinuing her crappy point program. Imagine my shock when I noticed only the older Kool-Aid products (from January 2007 or earlier) se...

Better than 4/4 sandwiched by split-seconds of 0/4 (ooh, tempo change?).

I was really enjoying the layered guitars and post-chorus slide guitar in Puce's entry. Glad that got points. I was expecting Jim Tyrrell's tune to get more brownies, between the old-school rock and alliterative potency. Neatness forever! Thanks for the kind BoRe words, it was certainly unexpected. ...

Sister Cocaine by The Bovine Recyclery She drinks juice from the jug, then drops her germs back on the shelf. She roams my room for diaries and secrets that I'd sooner keep to myself. I failed to leave my fears all locked up. Now my family believes I'm chalked up. But that's not me, I'm just O.D.'d...

I was trying to figure out who it reminded me of. Help me on this one because it's driving me nuts. :? I'm not sure, but if you realize it, let me know! (Steriogram/OLP shaky octave falsetto jumps? NIN? Fall Out Boy "uh uh uh uh uh uh uh" at the end of the chorus? I have no idea.) The onl...

I was surprised how the Bovine tune is getting knocked for writing to a "different title". Here's why I felt no guilt in using it: 1) It's clearly based on the title. The original title is still part of the derivative title (fil LET ME IN anga). 2) What's more, the original title is in the...

I have it on good authority (rumors, internets) that The Bovine Recyclery lyrics can be found here.
