Re: Nur Ein XVIII, Round Two: "The Numbers Don't Lie"

I wonder how many of these songs are in C major and therefore might be easy to mash up. I don't know how to do that, but I hope someone with time and expertise will do it.

I completely scrapped my song and wrote/recorded another last minute. With just tambourine. 😬 we’ll see how it does!
If anyone can pull this off, it is you Ben Krieger.

Today's SDotD is a pair of Mackie Monitors for $50. I have these and they are decent enough. Used them as my studio monitors until I upgraded and now use them with a turntable for casual listening. https://www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid?icid=210190 Mackie CR3-X 3" Powered Studio Monitors Limite...

Yes. As are you!

If this list is correct, 2003 was a fucking magical year for Songfight.

This list is also a little sad with at least a couple of friends who aren't with us any longer on it.

Hi All, It pains me to let you know that my good friend, collaborator, and all around best person Wayne "Evil-E" Gamble died suddenly and unexpectedly from a stroke the week before Xmas. Wayne mostly submitted on his own as Evil-E and as part of the Seamus Collective. I don't know what to ...

Re: Song Fight! Live IRL 2023

Thanks for kicking this off Lunkhead! I think it would be great to keep an online aspect as well, so maybe as a two night event, one could be an in person show and then next night could be a streaming/ view party? Any thoughts on ways to make the live fight hybrid? Could there be a way to alternate ...

I just share my entire Logic projects with Toshiro and Crumpet. Let them see my substantial warts and farts.

We use some point-to-point sync tool rather than anything g cloudy. Dunno why.
This is really nice if everyone is using the same version of the same DAW.

Also it's a good idea to include the click and/or placeholder drums in the demo track. I disagree with at least part of this. As a drummer, the last thing I want to track to is some other drum track. I agree that you should include at least a stable click intro that can be used to line up your file...

Here's a place that makes condenser microphones inside of spent shotgun shells. Great for tight spots. I have an x/y I've used as a drum overhead, yet to try on acoustic guitar, but quite pleased with it. Just ordered a single to try on snare/guitar. Inexpensive and handmade in good old Vermont. Yo...
