Re: May 7th, 2008

well, someone really oughta respond, so here I go.. today was uneventful! which is to say, I slept in, got high, and started working on "Robot Candidate". My hippie friend Dan has been hanging around lately. We manage to get along pretty well in spite of completely different, uh, world-vie...

Re: Currently Playing ...

So, Okami arrived last night. It's okay, although ironically the painting interface is nearly as bad as it was on the PS2. The control over the brush doesn't feel very direct, and the brush is very susceptible to sensor jitter which makes most of my gestures mess up badly. They really should have p...

Re: Currently Playing ...

oh yeah, Okami is coming to Wii, that's right.. that's awesome. For you. You, being Fluffy, in this case. I dunno if you've played it before, but I really liked it. The story is actually kinda decent. And you're this awesome, elegant, graceful god-wolf-thing.. and you can pee on your enemies. Okami ...

Re: Best Video Game Soundtracks

video game music, huh? There was a ton of good stuff on NES. Seems to me most of it went downhill once they got CD audio on everything. Big swelling orchestral stuff mostly replaced the catchy little bleep-bloop tunes. Man, there was a LOT of good stuff on NES.. I can't rightly think of most of it, ...

Re: What systems do you have?

SNES, PS1, PS2, original Gameboy, DS

Mostly I play the PS2.

Ain't got none-a-them newfangled current-gen systems yet. If I did, I think I'd go with the Wii.

Re: Hit the Switcheroo! (and start reviewing)

look who's drunk in the middle of the day! (it's me, and my reviews) Melvin - hmm, still sounds really well done, still sounds like weezer to me. I like the guitar at the beginning. that second part REALLY sounds like weezer. this is quality, but i'm not into this kinda stuff anymore. I'm getting us...

Re: Lost

I dunno, season 4 is kind of a letdown for me. It's all coming together too much. Still, I've come this far, so I'm sure I'll stick around til' the end. The 8th episode was a major bummer. I swear the network advertised that "someone you've gotten to know very well... will die". Or somethi...

Re: March 27, 2008

qotd: I've only been in one "real" band, and we were called The Rumor System . The name came from a video game I was really into at the time. It's not the greatest name but it fit the band pretty well. No Horse Town is just a phrase I've been into for quite some time now. I *think* I got i...

Re: Everybody's Got Something to Hide (Client No. 9 Reviews)

I actually expected this to get panned for being kind of corny. -and that's what I'm here for, buddy! ...just kidding. Well, mostly kidding. It is a pretty good song. I dig the tempo change, and of course the instrumentation+style+fun+story all brought something to the party. But yeah, the singing ...

might as well review these ones too: The Capitalist Youth - hmm. it's ok. that banjo picky thing makes it better. i'm not sure if i like or dislike the "oh oh oh" part. y'know, maybe if the banjo picky thing built up/changed more, that might make a big improvement. it kinda carries the son...

bleh, i couldn't help it, i had to write reviews. half-assed, totally un-helpful reviews. here they are: hell yeahs - your vocals are just maybe a little too loud, but i like the effect on 'em and i like the lyrics/melodies. this is very fun and good. this is the kinda pop-punk i can totally dig. A-...

Client No. 9

here's my lyrics: He's gonna change the ethics of Albany. He's gonna clean up the state. He's gonna give my illegal ass a ride uptown to marry my gay mate. Lady NY: He wins her and he tames her and he shames her "I'm a fucking steamroller, and I'll roll over you" I'm resigned to mull it al...

hey, these "tomato" entries were pretty good!
I especially liked:

precarious loaf

and

signboy

and

lord of oats

also, to a slightly lesser degree: boltoph and tuuur

-and the rest of it was sweet enough.

good job, y'all.

there's always Hawaii Five-O, and how they won. Or something. Well thanks Mr. Spoiler. Do you steal people’s thunder for a living or what? This title actually did have me contemplating ways to incorporate my name somehow. Oh well, no biggie. I keep hearing some horrible rap thing anyway. But please...

there's always Hawaii Five-O, and how they won. Or something. It's likely there are some historical events in various calendars' 501s. Staying up until / something happening at 5:01 AM? I might try my wretched little hand at this one. Seems like a lot of possibilities. Not feelin' the jeans angle, t...

EDIT: Well, I kept going til' 1000 grains. Never got above lv 43, tho. Hmm... 1000 grains isn't really even all that much rice, is it?
