I'm normally not home when I get drunk, and have t sober up before I go home.

Pity, it would probably be quite fun to see what I'd order if I were drunk-shopping.

I went up to Guitar Center to buy this 1955 Gibson L5 they've had for ever and ever ($3k), and it was gone. Very bummed. Probably for the best.

So instead of buying a new (very old) guitar, I restrung my Martin and fell in love with it again.

Can't stand SG's. Body is too thin. If I were ever to play a Gibson, it would be a Melody Maker/similar, or a LP Custom with P90's.

Anyway, going to the Dallas Guitar Show tomorrow, we'll see what I come home with.

It is a shame you don't have a larger penis.
Then you wouldn't have to spend $3K on a guitar.

I'd rather have lots of guitars than a large penis.

The Dallas Guitar Show was alright. Saw a G&L thinline telecaster similar to this one that blew my fucking mind. It's also neat to be able to touch an all-original '54 strat marked at $62,000. I got to play a couple Nocasters as well. Didn't end up buying anything but some cool ranch-stlye shirts. I'm gonna go clear some brush with my new neighbor George.

If you have a large penis, you don't *need* a guitar.

Except in my case.

I just financed one of these babies. I think that's the last gear I'll be getting for a little while. Oooh, does it sound nice, though. Feels great, too.

My mic kakked out on me. It was a Behringer B1 and I wasn't awfully sad to see it go, but it was my only vocal option other than an SM58. So, after reading through all the reviews I could find, and factoring in the bank account effect, I decided to replace my Behringer with a Bluebird.

You'll hear how it goes, if I don't destroy the sound in mixing ;)

I thought there was a thread for bragging about music gear holiday gift shwag but I was too lazy to go find it so I thought I would revive this thread.

I just got some really cool stuff. First an Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Nano reverb pedal, which sounds really lush. Second a capo that's making my head esplode. You can switch it on and off on for each string individually, allowing for lots of really cool tunings/fingerings/chords that are not otherwise possible:

Anybody get any cool gear recently?

That capo is nuts! I just might have to get me one of those. As far as gear goes, I've turned a corner and am going to start cleaning house. I love it all, but time to ween. :( After a new capo, though. :)

You mean "wean."

But yes, that Spider Capo looks amazing! I wouldn't know what to do with it if I got my hands on one, though.

I have a Shubb partial capo that I use from time to time (usually in conjunction with full capo behind it). If you put it two in front of the other capo covering the 5th, 4th and 3rd strings, you get a DADGAD-like effect for some open chords, but still allows the use of standard chord shapes for barre chords and open chords that cover the 6th, 2nd and 1st strings.
