songfight.org offline (503 errors) at 8:59pm PST, still offline at this writing. East-coast midnight server maintenance, quota limit, or something more sinister?

Shadowy Puppetmaster told me to pass on word that there was a massive amount of stuff happening from what he(?) termed "HOTLINKING HERETICS" and that said HERETICS have been, in his words, ELIMINATED.
The site seems to be back up now in any case.
(Dreamhost has some stuff which is intended to temporarily shut down a site when it's detecting a DDoS, and apparently this elimination of the HERETICS has removed that condition from the server. In this case it's a good thing since it saves the fightmasters from a huge bandwidth bill due to the recent surge in mp3 search engines and referral spammers who don't care that they're wasting peoples' bandwidth without actually doing anything useful for anyone.)

I received this error again today, but it was fairly soon after I tried recreating the httpd_conf file as suggested in the Dreamhost user forum. I haven't seen the error since, but that may indicate nothing. Please continue to post here if you see this error.

I haven't had any problems, and I check in several times a day. But at my site where I post the new fight each week, several people said they also had some issues logging on. Maybe there are different servers for different parts of the States? No one from So Cali seems to be having any problems....that I know of.
