I for one dig the new look. Great job, Fightmasters, and keep it up!

I'm not digging the CVS design so much.
The site is too dark and the chocolate color is more in the baby shit brown range. If the background color wasn't so dark RGB 34,34,34, you could have used a more appropriate chocolate brown color. The pink-ish strawberry isn't really working either, but again I think it is the way the color is contrasting off the dark barkground.
Overall I do like the idea of a flavor inspired 3 tab format, but I'm surprised you didn't use RGB, Red-Green-Blue. If you guys are sold on flavor inspired tabs how about BLT, Bacon-Lettuce-Tomato. It would give you a nice pairing of rust-brown and red, with a nice contrasting green in the middle tab.

Gee, bottle. Sorry you don't like it. We have done RGB in the past, and it will probably resurface in the future. The rich saturation of the current scheme was intended to contrast the stark garishness of the CMYK scheme immediately preceding. Personally, I like this specific brown and this specific pink, and I think that the background brings them out even more. Oh, well. You can't make everyone happy. Perhaps the next scheme will appeal to you more.

i too particularly liked these shades, and the contrast with the background. i did have one issue with the page though -- the song news section seems to all run together, and it's tough to distinguish where the paragraphs are separated into different news items. it isn't really much different than it used to be but it just seems with the new color scheme it's more of an issue. but maybe it's just me.Spud wrote:Personally, I like this specific brown and this specific pink, and I think that the background brings them out even more.

That's probably the smaller font that I implemented a little while ago rather than the new colors. Thanks for you input. I will see what can be done.tviyh wrote:the song news section seems to all run together, and it's tough to distinguish where the paragraphs are separated into different news items. it isn't really much different than it used to be but it just seems with the new color scheme it's more of an issue. but maybe it's just me.

Well, I'll just say I was pleased when the fights were posted and it turned out it really was chocolate, vanilla, strawberry
Unrelated suggestion, but could we get an "artists by number of submissions" option for the archive? It would make it easier for me to determine whether I'm back in the lead for the King Arthur award now that j$ and wreckdom have blown their perfect records...

Next time, though, can you use the colors "lovely", "perfect" and "completely appropriate"?
lovely == 105e14 == a nice dark green
perfect == pe7fec == a slightly darker than sky blue
completely == c0891e == yellowish brown
appropriate == a99709 == mustard yellow

At the start of march, Idiot Kings was the only other artist close to you. And he's only had two entries since then. So it's all you, dude!!king_arthur wrote:It would make it easier for me to determine whether I'm back in the lead for the King Arthur award ...
I lost the machine that was running the stats DB, so I can't update the exact figures
