Shouting and swearing in The Valley

Post by Caravan Ray »

Fortitude Valley, Brisbane is one of my old stomping grounds - so I (or should I say, "Give our Regards To The Earth's Core") cannot resist this weeks title "In The Valley".

But I need backing vocalists.

Who thinks they can sound like a drunken Australian on a night out?

I have a drunken chorus I need singing along with - plus random ejaculations of some choice blue talk would be appreciated.

I will happily provide a script of how to swear properly in Aust'traaln.

If you would like to shout loudly and obscenely for me - drop me a PM with your email address (I don't have any webspace at the moment - so I will have to send out a 2MB file for you to sing along to).

Where is Denyer when you need him? This is a job tailor made for him. Sausage Boy - are you there? But anyone else who wants to give it a crack - let me know.

Many thanks to Sausage Boy and Ujnhunter - excellent work lads!

Admittedly, Ujnhunter did come out sounding much more Irish than Australian - but every second barman in Fortitude Vally is a Paddy - so that all fits in nicely.

haha yea... I was kindo fdrink last night... so I thought it would be perfect to sing a drunken swearing song in character... but I didn't realize trying to sing in an accent when yer fdrink was so hard... hah... figured it was worth a shot tho! I still have no idea how I recorded them and encoded and emailed them... I could barely see the screen. I'll go home after work and find that I accidentally deleted Windows probably! ;)

I'm bummed that I didn't get in on this. Sorry John. I ran into computer problems and did everything I could do to get my song done. I almost gave up, but I would have felt bad after all the clips that were sent to me for the "Legend Dairy" In the Valley entry.

On re-listen this morning - I have to say that the Sausage/Cock contributions were absolutely perfect and far exceeded my expectations in every way.

Sadly though, I think my mix turned out far too muddy, thus burying many of the gems under a load of general noise
