"Hope You're Okay" is just full of possibility, and I have no excuse to not enter this week, 'specially with my happy new SM57. And real headphones instead of earbuds! Hooray for the christian side of my family and their quaint holiday customs!
Let cake eat them.

I hope you're okay
Even though I shot your face

I hope you're okay
You were in the wrong place

I hope you're okay
Even though I shot your head

I hope you're okay
Oh and I shot your cat too. he's dead

I wrote words for both songs, but I think it'll be easier to come up with music for Things To Do In New York. So, I think I'm in for that. Maybe.

I feel almost obligated to try something for 'Things to Do in New York' since pretty much everything I do is already in New York so I can really just write a song about anything, right?

That's exactly why you should do 'hope you're okay' IMO. Having said that, I am planning to be in TTDINY, so maybe I'm just trying to thin out the competition ;)

It will either be a Pogues-esque skiffle-romp, a Tiny Paws of Fury opus about sex tourism, or if you're lucky, a collaboration. Or possibly all three. Be warned.

I'm thinking some sort of tribute to the early New York punk scene. Hope you like your Iggies Stooged and your Undergrounds Velvet.

Just like Feldspar, as a New Yorker, I feel obligated to be in the TTDINY fight.

Kimmy D ( a top ten contibutor on J$'s list ) wants to get back in the game. But all her lyrics for New York are obscene. But we love New York. What to do?

We New Yorkers don't mind a bit of obscenity. 42nd Street may have gotten cleaned up but it still ain't that clean. (Plus, most of the filth just moved to Brooklyn instead)

In this day and age, I would not fully believe someone who claims that they love New York in a song that does not include a healthy dose of obscene lyrics.
