So, A Songwriter Walks Into A Bar With A Camel and a...

Post by so_we_go »

Hi,

I'm Steven, but on the board and for song posts I'll be "So We Go!"
I first discovered songfight via fellow fawm.org members, but recently so Ross Durand had won a fight (last weeks'?) and thought I'd come over since I have a week off and check it out.

This kind of community pushes me to be creative, which I find I need on a relatively consistent basis. I like the constraints and timelines.
I NEED structure! :)

Looking forward to some kung-fu style songfigting.

Any advice?

Check.

I will add to my list and from what I've gathered in other posts:

1. Don't suck.
2. Be awesome.
3. Don't be lame.
4. Stop not being awesome.

:)

inevitableguy,

I see you use the 1880. I started with an 880, then went up to the 1680, then decided I didn't like editing on the little screen anymore and made the leap to ProTools m-powered.
I LOVED what I got out of my Roland machines, but I truly love the visual editing I can do in ProTools.

I never did see the 1880....is it cool?

The 1880 is just a 1680 with two extra recording tracks. I like it - I've been using it for about 10 years now, and I'm too set in my ways to upgrade.
