Hey, all! I'm really excited by the longevity and activeness of the community here. It really seems like a great place to foster creativity and support, and I'm excited to become part of it!
Anyway, I'm Josh. I spent almost 4 years as a music composition major before switching to a computer and information sciences one with a (future) focus in audio engineering. I've been making music myself for about 7 years now, but only learned the magic of minor production tweaks within the last 2 years. I play damn near everything thanks to the music major, but stick mostly to keys, guitars, and my drumset. Any time I can find someone to collab with (roommates, coworkers, estranged family members), I do it. Drunk season was my first fight, and it was admittedly a little rushed. I really look forward to doing this every fight and participating here!
I'm the new newest!

Welcome to Song Fight! Please be awesome.
Personally I enjoyed your song and think you're off to a good start, but as you'll see opinions vary wildly around here. Also lots of folks here are down to collaborate, generally speaking, in case you want to give that a go some time.

Howdy Josh... I'm, Josh, too, if my name on here doesn't make it obvious enough. Really surprised I got it honestly, seeing as Song Fight's been around for a long, long time... Oh and I'm also really new. Although I did have an account before, must have got deleted because I didn't post enough. I think Drunk Season is my first submission (p.s. many thanks for letting me slide in a couple of hours late to whoever makes that decision). Been meaning to do it for a couple of years now, but somehow I kept checking in between fights! I've played a supporting part for a friend in the live fight a couple of years ago in Seattle.

Welcome other Josh, please be awesome too. Maybe we met in Seattle, if you're talking about the Song Fight! Live in 2012. If you mean the one in 2003 though that was before my time. Spud is the guy operating the site so he'd be the one who accepted your entry. He's a very generous fellow.

Awesome, thanks be to you, Spud, then. It was in fact 2012 so we may have crossed paths. I played with Dre in Tokyo Expressway. I was the guitarist (short bald guy). I will be as awesome as I am capable of

Re: I'm the new newest!
I was! How did you know? And thanks for reminding me, I had kind of forgotten about that one That was a song my cousins and I recorded on a laptop mic while all on vacation a few years ago. And we got the band name from typing the word ukulele into one of those online band name generators haha. But yes, it's my first round of reviews posted this time around. I honestly didn't know the boards existed till I rediscovered Songfight just recently.Niveous wrote:Welcome to Songfight, please be awesome. Here, Atticus wrote:It's my every intention, lunk!
