I can arrange and play trumpet and trombone parts. I was raised on big band stuff.

But it's a matter of timing for me. I won't be able to do it this week.

So, sorry to turn down singing offers, but Frank Bennett (http://www.frankbennett.com) himself has agreed to have a shot at singing on the tune. We will probably still need chorus singers, tho.

I think Spud and I are going to do the writing and arranging, hopefully this week if Spud has some time.

Come on new titles!

If I only had an alto sax again, I could help out in such circumstances.

Alas... I do not.

Give me a year or two. I will start playing again.

Holy crap, this is a great idea, I love swing.

I haven't played in a really long time, but I would love to bring out my Alto Sax for another hurrah. And I going out to buy a real mic today, too.

I also played electric bass in my high school jazz band, so if you guys are willing to settle for that, I'd love to. Vocals are also available, though I think my voice is a little too thin for that great swing/lounge Bobby Darrin type sound. But I can imitate Royal Crown Revue pretty well :D.

How about a sidefight project? With all this talent and instrumentation available it might work out better. I can offer guitar and vox and I have access to one badass bass player, a mean saxophonist that has and can play alto, tenor and baritone, as well as clarinet and flute, and a keyboard / trumpet / trombone playing master arranger. I shouldn't speak for them but if we're willing to work without a one week deadline I could probably persuade them.

Oh, I had an idea, Blue, why don't we big band-up songfight classics, like frank bennett turns indie classics into big band swing. We could start with More Than Soup :)

Just saw this.

I'll throw in an offer for piano/b3/rhodes.

My keyboard also has a killer (and varied) selection of vibe sounds.

And bg vocals, why not?
