Yes, Power Station covered T-Rex's "Get it On" and Isley Brothers' "Harvest for the World" but didn't cover "Maneater". Maybe you're mixing it up with their song "Murderess"?

Ah YES, thanks Niv! ... *hums* My older brother had that album and I quite liked it at the time (although the covers were a bit horrendous. )

Well, I'm feeling the itch again. Time for a Secret-Hxaro. Except this time, it's open to anyone that wants to participate*. All you have to do is send me a private message saying you'd like to join in and I'll send you something back saying who it's for and when it's due. Then, you can scour the unsuspecting recipient's archive and pick a song to cover. I will say the artist in question is extremely talented and worthy of the honor, has a deep and varied back catalog to choose from, and is a very active presence on the songfight messageboard. But that's all I'm going to say. You have to send me a message to find out more.

*This was done with the artist's implied permission. It will make sense to the person in question.

Arcadia's So Red The Rose was a much better album. It's what the other members of Duran Duran did at the time Power Station were recording.
It's a very new wave album they recorded in Spain and got guest musicians Herbie Hancock and Sting to do a track or two. It has a real nice sound to it. (I have it)

They talkin' about Power Station at the top of this page. Arcadia is what THE OTHER THREE were doing at the time. (Members of Duran Duran.)

Ah yes, I didn't scroll back far enough. Frighteningly, it was me who was talking about the Power Station, as well ...
Arcadia were a bit crap, though, really, weren't they?
