Hmm... What if I used all three in a chorus, then waited till the last second to enter my song in, and pick the most deserted fight? Hehehehe...No Really, Not Like That, Nothing Day
I wonder if one could use all three of these in a chorus and enter one song in all three categories Smile Has anyone ever tried that?
No really, you don't want to be severely beaten.halen99 wrote:I wouldn't want to be severely beaten, Not like that.HeuristicsInc wrote:yes, it has been tried, and if you do it you will be severely beaten. seriously, please don't.

except the part where all the songs get posted at the same time, so you don't actually see how many have been submitted until it's already too late to send yours.
[edit: nuts, that was a totally lame thousandth post.]

And also the part about how it's been done, done and done by people judging fights by the prefight thread.tviyh wrote: that's genius!

Punk rock is for children. Grab a six-pack at Half-a-Dozen Records.

One person made a song that fit all three titles one week "From This Day On" "Frannie" "Ain't Gettin' Any," but I believe it was submitted in only one category. Clever incorporation of all three titles will probably get you vote points though, as long as you choose only one to submit it to.halen99 wrote:I wonder if one could use all three of these in a chorus and enter one song in all three categories Has anyone ever tried that?

The one I remember was a stellar Ben Folds-shows-his-Peanuts rendition by Jim Tyrrell, in the Frannie fight.Gemini6Ice wrote:One person made a song that fit all three titles one week "From This Day On" "Frannie" "Ain't Gettin' Any," but I believe it was submitted in only one category.

I did April Morning, with a Peach - Bitter Orange - Pickle Juice just a couple of weeks back and submitted under April Morning, I got panned for it, we have a saying over here...
Basically it's not big and it's not clever.
I would say if you intend to include all three titles in one song, then don't overemphasise the fact, and make one the genuine lead.
But in this case as the titles are extremely similar and entirely ambiguous it's not really that difficult to include all three titles without really trying.
'nuff said.
(by the way if you research the archive you'll find that one heck of a lot of artists have attempted this, but they don't like to talk about it.)
Anyway we will be having a Nothing Day, as that's what we will be having.
