Ever get the feeling that Poor June is writing some awful sub-'Howl' epic poem and we are all his less-than-willing subjects? ... because otherwise, none of what he has written makes any sense whatsoever. Not that it should come as a surprise, mind ...

At least he seems to have stopped using ).( all the time...

it's not meant to make sense to everyone
if i made sense, it'd scare the shit out of you

everything is less direct in parables
also holds no facts.
which makes it easy for anyone who wishes to blow it off as mindless babble
they hold the right to do so...

i care, but i don't follow blindly

no one questions the big things
just let 'em get bigger
and give us all our selfish desires

fuck that... freedom is bull shit
and so is a government that feels as if
they do hold the right

i care, but i do not follow blindly

it may not be meant to make sense to you
good for you... just as all things
easily blown off for popular opinion
i know i am wrong about a lot... but i know i am right about something
i know you are wrong about a lot, and also right about something
it's the way of everyone...
but to act as if you are the only one with the answers
is ludicrous
to think that everything is written out nice and neatly
for no reason...
is also ludicrous
statistic can give a basic idea...
but it doesn't give a hundred percent knowledge
one of those times... it's all gonna fuck the fuck up
as do all things in time...

and then boom.... too late

i'm not trying to give you facts
you already have them all

of course i also know you are not in america, but i also know that it really doesn't matter anymore haha...

You just used the 6th grade sarcasm defense. Do you have "Dead Kennedys Rock" scrawled all over your notebooks?

oh i didn't mean that in a defensive way... i was actually laughing
didn't notice how it came off, till after i re-read it
and i'm not a big punk fan

while i crave the idea of anarchy
to make a public spectical of it
only seems incompetent
but then again
they're merely just giving them
what is wanted

anger of the youth equals 'chaos'
'chaos' scares the masses
thus no one could possibly want such a thing
and punk is an accurate presentation
of why...

teaches the masses how to want the system
the opposite of the message, it became a circus

freedom of speech is only as good
as the people that listen

for the most part, words are easily overlooked
and more so ignored entirely
lack of understanding between crowds
is the biggest weakness of all
everyone seperates into
'this is right'
no one thinks for a second
who gives a fuck?

it's all the government could've dreamed of
people that fight entirely within' themselves
and leave the true crimes alone
picture perfect... the ultimate money machine

however i must stop ranting
doesn't do anyone, any kind of good

I would never doubt
Your desire to be wiser:
I do question it.

I have seen the worst
Minds of our generation
Post what they call sense.

Your ideas dance
Around the edges of truth
Like mice at a trap.

Words should be signals
But without a translator -
I only hear noise.

At least all this talk
Means you don’t get to post songs -
Something about clouds.

of course
i do dance around the edges of truth
because truth in itself is highly edged
we've been trained...
point blank... that's what it comes down 2
no matter what anyone thinks about the system

now obviously i, and everyone in here
has only been around as long as we have
but they have been studying people
way before 'now'...
so they would indeed know how to feed on these things...
and they have
very successfully
but it could also be argued
that they have 2... because it's impossible to get people to follow something they don't buy into...
it just doesn't work out as easily
but an idea like freedom within' government control...
is really straight up insane
so that part of history seems quite outlandish to me myself...
this is not saying that i have an answer...
but i do have a question
i'm not giving you a fact...
i'm giving you an idea...

most little specs of history
come off seeming more like a fairy tale
then documented reality...

i guess this is what i'm getting at...
i don't think it is this way at all
by 'accident'..
i don't necessarily feel america was ever a seperate country
i feel as though it could've been overpopulation
of another country could've easily taken this land
and used the idea to keep this underwraps...
until recently there hasn't been much to prove otherwise...
and now we have all the power in the world...
so it would only make sense that such things are controlled

wether this be the case or not...
it truly doesn't matter
but the fact, that there is a wide ass hole in most of america's beginnings
seems quite odd to me

this was started by people that were wanting to get out of the oppression of their government... only to go to another country... get a bunch of slaves... and make nation built around slavery and oppression...

haha... i don't know... that's really 'strange'...
sure they wrote up a nice little fairy tale about it...
but that's all it seems to be, a fairy tale...

(of course this questions documented 'evidence' haha) it would never stand up in the court of law...
which also doesn't matter...
who cares?
it's still worth questioning... and it's still worth not completely buying into bull-shit

You're right, we don't have freedom. However, we do have a certain balance between freedom and security which is in all actuality what the United States united about. They wanted the balance to be further towards the freedom side than it was for them under the British empire at the time. Right now, the balance is pushed away from the freedom side too far for a lot of people (including me), and maybe it's even being pushed away from security too, in the direction of governmental corruption, who knows? But the key thing is that the U.S. was never about freedom, and you just can't understand it thinking like that. Most people, almost everyone really, prefer this balance to unregulated freedom.

(Let it be known that I potentially regret having responded in seriousness to this guy, and that I probably ought to have said something snarky about his ridiculous spelling and line formatting. And I'm not inviting debate, there's not really anything to debate here except the level of governmental corruption, and one over-earnest twenty-something in North Carolina isn't going to uncover shit about that on his own.)

i appreciate your honesty
and you're right, it is more 'comfortable'...
i suppose
but comfortable or not
i would never side with a country
that would abolish slave labor
just to send most of our factories overseas
for slave labor

so i suppose there is a 'price' for this idea of freedom
but do you think their life is that price?

just because "i'm comfortable"

i honestly feel like shit at the thought of that
i hate the fact that everyone is 'comfortable'
with this...

it seems just odd
not so much that i think i'm right

but just because
i know that's wrong

(america has been corrupt) it's nothing new
