You have tonight and tomorrow unless you have other plans that will get in the way of recording tomorrow. As long as it's in before December 1st begins (PST), you're good to go.röymond wrote:Oh god! I have to finish tonight.

In the meantime, the tally has been updated.
ALSO: If someone would like to use their html skills to create a simple but effective front page layout for purpletapes.com we would be grateful, and we would encourage you to include a link to your own website in the layout.
We're just planning on using the blog for now, but it might be nice to have a better looking index to work with in the future. In a worst case scenraio, Niveous and I might put something together ourselves, but I doubt it would be very easy on the eyes.
ROCK!

Glenn... check your e-mail. I just sent you 8 of the songs (all but 'Just as Long as We're Together', which I did with Sp@@ns; was that tune submitted to ya, or do I still need to submit it? PM please!).
So by now ALL of the titles should have at least one tune written for 'em! Yaaaaaaaaaaaa! (man I am worn out!)... and now "501"....

Hey all,
I'm typing this out as we are approximately 9 hours away from December 1st on the west coast! I'm aiming to have the "For You" songs posted just after midnight (PST) if I can help it.
There are new things to announce:
1. Our Myspace profile has made friend number 1999. We're very happy about this. Next stop: 3121!
2. purpletapes.com no longer points directly to our blog. Instead, it points to a new index page. The songs will be up in a matter of hours, but in the meantime there are handy links to the blog, the Myspace page, and...
3. There's a new page for the song tally! It should be a lot easier to update from this point on, because Niveous and I are getting a decent system in place for keeping up with these things.
If you still want to submit a song using one of the titles, there is still time, but not much. Completed songs should be sent to purpletapes@gmail.com.
Check back tomorrow for the first batch of songs, and for the new titles!
ROCK!

Alright. It was a little intimidating when I realized how many songs I still had to finish up, and that this was the last day, but I've finished, and they've all been sent in, unless I've made an error. Everything is definitely done, and not being messed with any more, so I hope that nuts and bolts technical errors are excused, and can be fixed, if there are any. With more time, some of these may have come out better, and I may have gone back and fixed up the ones I had worked on earlier in the month. But eh, oh well. There's always time for that later.
I honestly don't think I would have done all the songs if I hadn't said I would. I had even more trouble with the titles than I'd expected. I'd rather these songs exist than they not, and I'm excited to have a album other than an AAD, although I didn't feel like I wanted to release them as myself, and didn't. However, this caused a good deal of stress, looming over my head all month. So at this point, I'm not really sure about next month. My experience with this month says it's hard to resist doing, but it's also hard to do. But then the titles look marginally more open-ended. I suppose I'll make a decision shortly. I'm sure I'll participate in some capacity. I'd say it's a question of what extent I'll go to.
Right, well, have fun. At this point, I think I'm mostly looking forward to hearing all the other songs.

That's great, Glenn. I may be doing just these titles as 4 weeks is more aligned with my life pace these days.
Also, could you change the artist link to my roymond.com/music site?
