I apologize for what you experienced In the past. And the point was made that I spent more time complaining about it and making it a big deal. I guess I was a bit annoyed when I tried to approach the subject Respectfully but was met with "nah".

Thanks. My original response was pretty flippant but only because it's a thing I am very tired of having to discuss with people after literal decades of pushback and abuse (which still happens today, and if anything has gotten much worse in the last few years — and a lot of it starts out with people asking questions "respectfully"), and then I still wrote a longer response anyway to more fully flesh out my position. Perhaps I should have left the original "nah" off, but I'm glad we could come to an understanding.
