Band member recruiting area

Post by GlennCase »

I didn't see a thread for this yet.

I am planning on going for a duo/acoustic approach for the Glenn and Rachael set, so no other musicians are needed for our set.

I am playing bass guitar for two bands (JB and Mostly Harmless). That's the only two I am aware of at present, so if you think that I am playing in your band and I didn't list you? You might want to let me know.

If you need band members, feel free to use this thread to recruit them.

ROCK!

I will be looking for a drummer, bass, lead guitar, and somebody who can do various organ / piano / synth type stuff on a keyboard. Backing vocals if you got 'em. I'll play rhythm guitar and lead vocal.

I have requested the opening set on Friday night, so if you won't be at SFL by, say, Thursday night, practice time may be an issue. I will provide .mp3 demos and chord charts for all the songs, and they're pretty much simple stuff. KA songs likely to appear include WTF, So Long Atticus, and Thunderstorm.

PM me if you're interested.

I've had an offer for a drummer, but am still looking for other players... I guess I should relax that "needs to be in town by Thursday night" requirement, but I am planning on going first Friday night, so people will need to be pretty sure they can be there for that...

<strike>The Primitive Screwheads need a keyboard player for their traditional # cover. PM for super-top-secret lowdown.</strike>

Okay, it's pro'lly not super-top-secret or anything, but I really like using hyphenated words and Japanese-talk-show-host hyperbole.

THANKS KA!

The stage is going to get pretty crowded, heh.

THANKS KEN!

I think that Adjuster had PM'd me a while back that he was coming, but I sent him a confirmation PM a few days ago and haven't heard back.

If he's not coming, I'll need somebody to sing the "Father" part on "So Long Atticus" for my set... but, obviously, I'd like to have the original!

Edit: okay, just got a PM, Adjuster is not going to make it. So, if there's anybody who would really like to sing with the KA band at SFL On Friday night, the "Father" part (which could be turned into the "Mother" part, I would just have to sing "Mom" instead of "Dad" and not worry that one internal rhyme goes away), PM me. (Hmm, this actually sounds like a perfect excuse to get Bjam in the band and score those extra cuteness points...)

Edit again: Bjam is signed on to sing "Mom" with us!
