Tomorrow I am chauffering my Dad around the North Shore because he's still in questionable health, though the doctors seem to have figured out whatever his problem was. Nobody should worry. Anyway, I don't have a job for at least another few weeks due to some bureaucratic holdup at the bank, which is not the same as a band of bureaucrat banditos busting into a bank and bagging all the big bills. B'foreshadowing!

I've also skipped the last few days of this. Has anyone decided if this is actually interesting to read?

I think it's interesting. It's caused me to post on this board at least once a day since 4/30. As you can see from my total post count vs. how long I've been a member of this board (and before this on dumbrella), that just hasn't happened in the past. I'm not going to think that what I post is interesting to everyone, but maybe it will be interesting to some. It won't stop me from posting.

AND, I learned that May 1 is the start of prawn season!

I think it's cut down those on random threads in Monkey Business with just one post and 10 views. If someone has something random to say, it easily fits in to this forum.

Last night after work, I went to Happy Hour with my friend Katie. It's her birthday on Monday, but she'll be out of town. It was fun. I gave the kids a bath last night. As soon as they were in bed, I watched the Survivor that I had DVR'd earlier. I'd never watched that show until 3 seasons ago (Survivor Exile Island) when my high school art teacher was a contestant. He didn't win, he was the one with the horrible stomach problem who had to leave the island because of it.

I woke up on time this morning but now that I've been sitting here reading all this SF stuff, I really need to get my ass in gear and get ready for work!

I'm anxiously awaiting the posting of the Evil April songs.

I spent most of yesterday and this morning tweaking the voting mechanism and adding a stream to this little UK-based once-monthly songfight-style thing with hilariously ironic acronym title that we set up seeing as we didn't seem to be keeping up with the SF strictures. Check it out! Vote! Participate! (if you are so inclined)

Today I am mostly worrying about tomorrow when I will be DJing at a wedding, regardless of the fact that a)I have never DJed before and b)I go on at 9.30pm, far beyond the time I intend to be irrevocably drunk.

Morning all.

So J$ - putting money where mouth is - that's great. I've missed you here, but I understand you have a problem with the single title thing. I'll have to listen to S.U.K. later.

Today I'm mostly looking forward to a new Nur Ein! title (assuming I make the cut), chekcing back to see if Evil April is posted, giving a final to my AP Environmental Science class (the last practice they have before the real AP), and this evening I'll be joining my brother and neice at Disneyland, where her school band performed today - that should be pretty fun.

Also, I'm beginning to stress about preparations for an on-line class I'm teaching starting May 30.

We're celebrating Cinco De Mayo a day early at work. Taquitos in the break room, everybody.

This is the third nice weather day in a row. For New Hampshire, that's damn fine. Gonna get the kids outside (and away from the Wii) after work, I think. Andy's got Tee Ball starting next weekend.

Tomorrow I think we're going to go to the Squam Lakes Science Center in Holderness, which just opened for the season.

Hi SF'ers
A ton of work today.
Got to make that all mighty.
I hate money, but love what it's traded for...most of the time.
Need a new cell phone, it's randomly calling people in my contact list.
No time to get a new one today.
Note to self, do not say anything bad "out loud" about anyone in my cell contact list until I get a new phone.
Gas prices are really high ($3.52 a gal.)
Have no idea what I'm going to do if I get in for Nur Ein, round one.
Trying to follow a connecting story theme for my Nur Ein songs as described in my lyrics for round zero.
Hoping the title will inspire me.
Can't start anything until Sunday.
In the mood to really rock it hard.
Going to be a nice weekend.
Drank one too many cups of coffee
Want a good deli sang'wich for lunch with Turkey, swiss and avacado.
Live, Love, Rock!
Chris, signing outs

I don't know whether this is going to be of long-term interest to anybody, and I guess I've already missed one day, but... well, either all the cool people will post here and I'll stop 'cause their lives are so much more interesting than mine, or the cool people will decide this is un-cool, and I'll be a regular...

I did whip up some "Evil April" cover art this morning and submitted it - it looks like the posting of the new songs is just waiting for art... and, hey, just went over to check whether the new title was up, and there's my artwork! Now, if they'd just get the new title posted... well, at least the podcast is coming down faster than 20kbps this week!

Fridays are cleaning day here at home, so that's what the morning (with a few distractions, like doing EA artwork) is about. I'm trying to systematize the housecleaning by building a list of things that my wife will complain about if they don't get done, and I've got it down to about four hours' uninterrupted effort...

Rest of the day, my mom's Senior Care helper person is going to put together dinner for this evening so that my mom can invite us over for dinner - of course, I need to be there about 2:45 before the SC person leaves to "take over" dinner preparation, but I'm pretty much over there once a day anyway. Back home for TV (it sounds like maybe Ghost Whisperer is ending in two or three more episodes; last week, they introduced a new "whisperer" character, so they could, in theory, kill off Melinda and have her discover that going "into the light" isn't all it's cracked up to be).

Our foster dog Ben is supposed to have an adoption appoinment on Saturday, so I'm trying to keep tomorrow free for that...

Oh, thanks so much. This morning was a lot less painful than the rest of the week, for sure!

TODAY
The kids are still sick. Allison is running pure goo out all of her face holes. Yick.
Comic, popcast, & work is pretty much my lineup today, but I wish I was recording some guitars for something.

Tomorry's Free Comic Day, so me and Spencer are gonna hit The Source and Big Brain, sick or no.

Man, the Dodge Nitro is a fun looking auto. (we're watching the price is right.)

Oh man, free comic day! Every year I miss it, only to hear about it a week later and be all 'Crap why didn't I hear about that'! Well not this year!

Of course, where is there a comic book shop around here? There used to be one in Plymouth a long time ago.

Maybe I'll try to do one of those 24-hour comic dealies in celebration. Or at least do some drawing with the boys.

Today my posts shall all rhyme
mostly because I"m bored this time
partially due to Billy's Trip too,
His looked like it'd rhyme, but it wasn't true.

I'm rewriting label designs to identify our fish
with one decimal place cause that's my customer's wish
Then I'll finish labour costing for every single crew
So I can instruct supervisor's on efficiencies to do

I've been embattled in a dispute over a broken coffee pot
I bought it on ebay, but in good condition it was not
The seller wouldn't fix it, so I opted to return the item
the post office says it was delivered, but I still got to fight'em.

They claim they don't' have it, and I think I may be screwed,
I considered an onslaught of anger, as I pondered and stewed,
then this morning I realized, I'd rather good karma than bad,
So I'll let it go against my instinct and be happy rather than sad

Later tonight I plan on consuming numerous pleasures
to forget the week, unwind but I'll still keep it measured
We'll do some jamming, I ll play guitar, and sing, and drum
Then I'll head home, so both my wife and I can ...

I had a good day. No jokes. It went by fast, and it was quite uneventful. I went to Music Center Canada on my spare today, and that was great. I feel like taking a nap, but I need to work on the new Nur Ein song. As well, I may be making pizza tonight. Wish me luck!

G'dammit, this day has been sucking.

My youngest M woke me at about 3AM. He's got an ear infection. Not good.

I've been lacking in lustre all day. I've been living off of the energy boosts in Mountain Dew Code Red.

Get to work and one of my colleagues has taken the 30+ bins of undone work she had in office and stacked them dead center in the office. Heads will roll on monday. As the person who gives her the work that she isn't doing, I hate being involved in this.

T gets into trouble at school because kids are picking on him and he gets upset and screams everyone including the teacher. He goes to the Principal. No reprimands for the people doing the teasing. My frustration with that school grows.

Bright side- Nur Ein has begun. nur-ein.livejournal.com is finally up. I buy Buffy Season 8, issue 3 today. The workday is coming to a close.
