I was only very recently introduced to Songfight, but immediately thought it was a really cool concept. Listening to some of the stuff posted here has been -frankly- intimidating, but I decided not to let that stop me from adding my own lame stuff. I think I used to be quite the songwriter back in the day of my Fostex four-track cassette recorder. Times have changed, as today I have a couple teenage kids and a computer. On my first entry here, my son was playing bass. On Hollywood Wax, it's my daughter's turn to get into the mix on backing vocals.
I don't think either song I've submitted represents what I think I do yet, but maybe I'm just kidding myself. I'm having fun with GarageBand, and then having it criticized here. Maybe the next title will inspire a little more of my old G&G side. I'm looking forward to it, already.
