Thank you, sir. I would rank The Meadowlands as one of the best albums of all time, so this cover was certainly a labor of love. I am glad that I had the opportunity to do this.

Ohhhh... I get it. Thanks Fluffy! And thanks Kasper!
Really enjoying Teplin (thats one of my favorite songs performed by one of my favorite Song Fighters). It really is time we tried another one together Mr Howl.
Caravan Ray and Tomski sound great too.
Haven't finished listening to everything yet.

HAPPY GOM

A lot of great stuff. Looking forward to really giving them all a good listen. Enjoy!

Niv - I'm glad you enjoyed the tune, I was a bit intimidated by it but had to do it.

Mark/Sven - Great job on Plague Age, man! I am totally thrilled and smiling as I listen for the fourth time in a row. Seems like a good pick for you as well, thematically and stylistically. And great vocals! Thanks a ton, it was absolutely worth the wait! :D

Lots of good music here, people. GOM is a treat for all and I'm glad to see a strong turnout. Thanks to Eddie and Bill for getting put together, and to all for creating. A gift for us all!

See, and I woulda thought that no good could come from adding a vocoder to a Peter Gabriel song. Awesome cover, Eddie!

Not a bad year, here, for stiffees. We had 30 entries and only 7 are not returned at 8 days from the deadline. And of those at least 4 stiffers have chimed in to say that their songs are coming soon. Maybe 5. I have a list here but I'm not sure what to do about it... we don't want to usurp the people that will hopefully finish soon. Thoughts?

I'm hoping it's cool to post these now that the offical covers have gone up.

A couple of extra-curricular GoM's here:
Invisible Man originally by The Breeders, covered for Paco Del Stinko by myself and Anti-M (to make up for missing his Hxaro on my part). I would like to thank Mark for doing the Les Savy Fav one as I was very close to doing that but went for the Breeders instead.

Never Meant originally by American Football, covered for Glennny by Tomski which I helped on (just because we love this song. In fact we think that Glen chose it cos he knew whoever his gifter was they would not attempt it, but that I might because I love it so much. If this is the case he was right.)

Enjoy!

Excellent. I think this is the only time I've had a gifter who has liked the song I chose more than I do and I consider myself very lucky. The attention to the small details, all the individual guitar lines, is amazing (though I feel compelled to play a shaker over the break near the end every time I listen to it :D ). Thank you so much!

Have they given you a time frame? I say give em another week before teh committee jumps in. If you can PM me the list and indicate the ones who look like they are likely to just stiffed in general - I can get the committee working. and we can give the others time for their follow through - whataya think?

Reve and ujn: My list this year was pretty depressing/moody, and you picked the most depressing/moody one of the bunch! This song gave me the chills when I was like 5 years old, and still does. Your treatment of it? I love it, and thank you.

It's true! I was hoping either Pedro would get my list and HAVE to tackle that song, or he couldn't resist covering it when my gifter passed on it.

BTW just like the Joan of Arc songs 2 years ago I think you made a better version!

This is just AWESOME! Is Tomski a Carpetburn fellow?

Thanks guys! Awesome bonus!

BTW thanks to Niveous for my Suede cover too! It was great to hang out on Sunday!
