I'm back.

I haven't been on SF in years, but I just got with a new group of cool scros and I'm thinking about putting some songs up here again. Just wanted to say hi to everybody. It's been a long time.

Melvin, your song is amazing. I've played it more then anything else today. I wish the chorus was done again at the very end of the song. With the "Oooh's in it to change it up. I love the way the bass delays for the 2nd 3rd and 4th chords in the chorus. Awesome.

Back when "Simple Plan" first came out, I went on a bit of a mission to try and figure out how they had managed to brainwash all these kids. What I discovered was that most of their song lyrics established the following concept, or at least pieces of it: 1: Your mom hates you. Your father ...

Is that part of the problem? It all seems so vauge, anything that is emotional rock could fit. I think that is the problem... I hereby resolve to not use the phrase "Emo" for anything anymore. I'm gonna feel so old when VH1 makes "I love the 00's" and some trendy comedian says &...

I think Weezer fits into the "post-emo indie rock" (indie rock at least somewhat influenced by emo bands) catagory just fine, along with Jimmy Eat World. If you want to go back a few years further back when "Emo" was newer, you get Hot Water Music, Rites of Spring and Fugazi. Go ...

Re: Do you remember...

It pisses me off. Put up or shut up. If you think that other people don't know what emo is, then you have to name like 5 emo bands. I'll bet dollars to donuts that someone is going to laugh at what you think emo is. I think a good start would be Husker Du, Fugazi, and Weezer. Fuck all that o...

I think I should now officially declare myself an "old fart" I really have no idea what "Emo" means. I have never heard the term before I saw it on these boards. Now people seem to be nostalgic for it! (I wonder if I'm 'Emo'? I hope not - it sounds a bit poofy). Don't feel bad. ...

Re: Do you remember...

And even the music is being mislabeled. " Emo " music used to be about coming up with a song that talked about the way you felt inside, usually very directly and to-the-point. That's hardly a genre-specific feature, yet it seems to be what I hear emo described as more often than not. If y...

Do you remember...

It pains me to look at what internet youth culture has created. It has created a world where a bisexual cross-dressing goth who listens to techno and takes photos of his " mohawk-for-a-day " is " Emo ". " Emo " is a genre of music! Not a fake lifestyle... The saddest pa...

Thank you Hoblit, for your trust in my ears, but I kinda like our name.

There's downloadable on that myspace page if you are interested in listening for yourself.

EDIT[0]: Nevermind. I just added links to the first post.
