Video game music remixes

Right now I'm listening to Moka's remix of the Ocarina of Time soundtrack. It's pretty good in places, though in other places it's not so good. Definitely not worth the $30-odd Amazon is cha...

Hoblit did (specifically, he said that I needed to go to church to find a reason to go to church), and before that Starfinger got offended over me stating my opinion regarding religion. And before that this entire conversation was based on the merit of having a theocratic government in a country whi...

Well, obviously I don't. But hey, considering I've spent most of my life trying to fend off a bunch of religious sorts who were always trying to convert me to their particular brand of reading an old piece of science fiction, I don't much care if I've upset anyone with my extremely-rare bit of athei...

Okay, that's valid. Also a valid reason for people believing that they're really fairies or dragons or reincarnated anime characters.

Valid doesn't necessarily mean "good" though. :)

open to the notion that religion is useful as a moral framework for people who can't see a bigger picture and so don't see why it's important to not hurt other people, and that God is just a different interpretation to the laws of physics. That would imply that those of us who are religious are som...

Is God the empty space inside an atom? Personally, I'm an atheist who is open to the notion that religion is useful as a moral framework for people who can't see a bigger picture and so don't see why it's important to not hurt other people, and that God is just a different interpretation to the laws...

The whole concept of "empty space" falls apart, when the definition of empty space relies on whether something is penetrable or not. Feynman starts his lectures out basically saying that there's no way to really conceivably understand what subatomic particles "look like" because ...

Doesn't Roland make a bunch of portable multitrack things which record to SmartMedia and CD/RW and so on? Dunno if they're battery-powerable though.

That sounds pretty specialized. You're probably better off wiring up something yourself using Radio Shack parts. (Remember, tip = left, ring = right, sleeve = ground.) Though once upon a time I had something which was female 1/8" on one end and stereo RCA on the other. I think it came with a so...

Even a stereo delay of 1ms can make a pretty big impact, from the way that the brain processes stereo information (in turn due to how speed moves at about 1 foot per millisecond). For a realistic pan you should always add a stereo delay anyway, like if it's panned hard left then add 1ms on the right...

I heard the audiobook version recently, which is also awesome. They took the textbook format and went the next step, making it like the audio track to one of those late-70s/early-80s "interactive learning module" tapes which were intended to accompany film strips or whatever.

Yeah, and when I first got here it was usually 2-3 weeks for the recording/submitting, and there wouldn't be a pending title during the song vote.

And if there were another one spelled that way then it'd be sonofsupercars. But as an acronym it'd still be appropriate to spell it SOS/SOSes.

Also, if there were multiple bands called Son Of Supercar, even without the abbreviation they would be SOS's , to separate the final "S" from the pluralizing "s". If both SOS's collaborated on a song, well, I can't imagine the ensuing ambiguity. The proper way to refer to them, ...
