Re: Rest In Peace

Aw, man. Beck was one of the all time greats. Forget all those deedle-weedlers, nobody played like him. Listen, and watch, him play. You just can't do what he did. Not a big hit maker, didn't matter. 78 aint no kid, but a shocker. R.I.P. Yeah, lived a good life. He was definitely the guitarist's gu...

Re: Cooking

So, I decided on a jalapeno, cheddar, bacon sourdough boule.
2 14" pizza balls (made 1)
4 pretzels for the first time. We ate them before I could take a pic. So good! I'll be making them again.
I tried to score a chili pepper. I need practice. I chose not to flour the top, so the scores don't pop as much.

Got a pic before it got devoured. Sourdough pizza is really good! Different, but good.

Re: Cooking

Just pulled my sour dough starter out from the back of the fridge that hasn't been fed in months. About a 1/4" of hooch on top and smells potent, in a good way. Very boozy, slightly vinegary. Mixed it back in and poured 114 grams per dough. Then fed it 100gr of bottled water and 100 gr of unble...

Jalapeno, cheese and cilantro is one. I even have a pecan and cinnamon I want to try. I'll post pics because everyone tota...

I like Jon Stewart's new podcast. He makes things seem less tragic while making things seem more tragic. It's a skill. I think it's the laughing. "yay, we're screwed!"

This is a big one, in some sense. https://twitter.com/RoyalFamily/status/1567928275913121792 The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow. 96 years old? That's quite a feat in itself. RIP.

Re: Band name trademarks

Just make your links to your music easy to remember and follow. Maybe start a company for your music and apparel by getting a fictitious business name with a sock puppet DBA. Then you can open a sock puppet bank account. I don't think it would give you much legal protection for your band name, but i...

Yeah, I understand why it's not appropriate. I thought of it as a violation to my mouth, Yes. It is s terrible name. If you want a name that implies unwarranted and inappropriate mouth violation - perhaps “Catholic Priest’s Cock”. That would offend far less people. And those it offends - probably d...

Yeah, I understand why it's not appropriate. I thought of it as a violation to my mouth, It didn't even occur to me as a forced sexual violation at the time. I'm just glad my smarter half shut it down before I gave it as gifts to the fam. That could have been ... sigh ..a problem. :? And on the plus...

Re: Cooking

I've made my own enchilada sauce before with the above mentioned Hatch chilies. That's a good recipe to follow. Roasting before blending makes a difference. And it reminded me I need to get some avocado oil. I've also made some incredible hot sauce from Carolina reaper peppers my friend grows. I mad...

I just remembered, I didn't have to explain how I build my Enchi-Lasgna because I made a how to video in Feb. There are a few things missing from that sangwich photo: a handful of chips, a beverage that may or may not contain alcohol, and my dumb mug getting ready to chow it down. And napkins. Looks awesome! I get Hatch chiles shipped here every year and one thing I use them for is a traditional New Mexica...

That's actually a pretty traditional way to make enchiladas in New Mexico, usually called "flat enchiladas." I just looked at New Mexico flat enchiladas. They don't look like mine. But I can pretty much bet that by the 3rd chew in the mouth, they all look about the same. :P When I looked ...

Re: Cooking

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Hatch chilies. In fact, the green enchilada sauce I used last night in my enchilazies was Hatch chilies in a can, so not as good as my homemade chili sauce, but still good. The point of enchilazies is quick and easy. It's Hatch season right now, the grocery stores by me had th...
