FAWM, as I recall. I recognise it from somewhere and that's the only place I can think of.

Sup homes?

The Sixth Step

I wrote that today with this film in mind, however I also found this on my hard drive which screamed to me "I am a moody three-minute piece of music".

Here's three tracks to consider. They're by my electronic alter-ego Citizen Six. Testing The Water Finding The Headstone The Empty Street Holy crap, you're Citizen Six? On-topic, I am all over this, seeing as I'm about to start offering my services as an indie film musician. Gimme a day or two.

No drink, no drugs. I'm a clean one. Having said that, I'll indulge in a white Russian occasionally - but only one, and my last was in March. So yeah. I've never been so much as merry and don't ever want to be. Like Niv, also, I have no problem with those that do partake - unlike him, though, I'm no...

Yes, Natchdan - I watched the videos, and they sounded and looked great. However, I've always thought it would be cool to have a band playing my music with me. I think live shows are a long way in the future though, so I guess we won't know what I do for a while. Having a full band is always the id...

In regards to one-man-banding it, did I not send you videos of me doing exactly that? xD Backing tracks are pretty accepted, it's just a matter of figuring out which guitar to remove, removing it and then playing along. Also, I'd buy but I have no card and paypal is not accepted, which is a bummer a...

Alas, due to a super busy couple of days, I had to withdraw. Hopefully Take950'll be back next fight.

The extended date makes me very happy for two reasons. a) I might be able to find a timeframe for decent vocal recording, and b) JR's drums will be set up. Rock on!

The Collaborations forum on this very board is quite helpful if you want someone to help you out, or if you're just looking for tips and advice on how to improve your own recording then check out the help-and-how-to forum. I know I've learned a lot from there - about limiting and clipping recently i...

It really isn't. I'm sure somebody will be willing to help you out if you want it, but rudimentary recordings are just as welcome as polished ones. The reviews might be a little more negative, though.

QOTD: While I tend to pass off my more personal songs as fictional (Names and locations have been changed to protect the innocent, etc), there are some which nobody knows about. IRonically enough, my angriest song is non-fictional, and I make no secret of it.

Dublin Duck Dispensary I'm weirdly fond of the Fruityloops/chimes combo you have going there. The vocals are kind of hard to make out and off-time, though. Is that a Casio I hear doing the "trumpet"? Pretty nice overall, with some more work it could be very good. Embers Of Autumn Nice acou...

Thank God For Memphis

I've never been walking in Memphis Kept my feet firmly on the ground I've don't believe that you've seen Elvis Been a long time since that guy was around I don't care if he was the king He may have been some kind of hero To the disaffected teenage crowd And yeah he helped them find a voice He helped...

BLT wins the nerd award! <3, BLT, <3. Anyhow, my two very favourite NIN songs are actually instrumentals (A Warm Place and Leaving Hope), but beyond that I'd say... Hm. Somewhat Damaged is seconded, also Underneath It All (Simple lyrically, tricky musically) and We're In This Together (Because it ju...

Paco's version is way better than the one floating around my head. In fact, the version in my head was based around one section, featuring all of the music dropping out and someone screaming, as if from far off, "Outtathaway, Goddammit! I got a funeral to run!" then RIFFAGE. But man, PAco'...

"Anomaly: Deviation or departure from the normal or common order, form, or rule." I took the definition and did a song on fruityloops Now THERE's a program i haven't used in a long time. Funny to see that after so long. Fruityloops? I still use that stuff. Actually, I still use the versio...

Take950's entry submitted. That's me and JR on drums at current, though expansion is not ruled out. Lyrics this week by Niv.

I do not have a metal voice. We'll see how this goes.

Actually, not quite that simple. State Shirt comes high up, as do a couple of others - more detailed reviews and a definite vote tomorrow.
