Arby - It's possible to get a great recording with 1 stereo mic into a recorder. Cowboy Junkies did it with "The Trinity Session". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Trinity_Session They had a great room with great acoustics. They had a $9000 Calrec Ambisonic mic into RDAT. They used a PA ...

Good ideas. My first thought is that you first need to make sure any gaps in your ceiling are filled. Any crack, no matter how small, will let sound travel through. The next thing I thought of is just to add a layer of drywall. Mass is your friend, so you should see a reduction just by putting up mo...
I enjoyed this movie. I read the book a while back thanks to Glennny, and it was long ago enough that the details weren't fresh in my mind. I think they did a good job of turning an epic story into a fun family movie that ties everything up nicely in the end. Not quite Spielberg's Avatar, but close.
Well, I just finished the second half of season one and WOW, this show is REALLY GREAT. I just really like it. The characters are fun, the visuals are good, and the Terror can really play the drums! I hope Jackie Earle Haley wins an award for this role. Just a fun watch. Why isn't everyone talking a...

Some stuff he got didn't make it to production. (Also, my understanding is that this record has been done for year...

Did i forget to mention that Berkeley Social Scene is in this fight?
Logic has a mixer view. It seems pretty straight forward to me. Plug ins on top, faders on the bottom. You can basically see what is on each track, but you'd have to open each plug in and look at the settings. I tend not to use the channel strip eqs, but that might be easier for you.
I didn't love Logic Pro, but I've been a Cubase user for most of my recording life. I didn't like editing and thought that Cubase was much better for that, and MIDI. I liked the built in instruments. The logical drummer feature was cool, but Lunkhead tells me that is in Cubase now as well. The last ...
I saw this movie this week and was really impressed by the touching, interesting, and unique story it told. Plenty of strong and compelling performances by the cast. Just a great science fiction love story. See it in the theater while you can!
