Thanks for all of your suggestions everyone. I've installed my software on a P4 (was a P3) and it's better. Still choppy but tolerable. I think I will get a better video card, but I'll wait until the Boxing Day sales happen...

Cheers!

I generally find reviews in Blender to be pretty good. And there are more of them, which is great for discovering new music.

I think the bittorrent idea is a great one. related: I read somewhere that bit torrent files now account for 2/3 of all internet bandwidth. Pretty surprising when I consider that most people I know don't even know what that is!!! Not so surprising when I figured out that alot of bit torrents are mov...

i'm mystified by the huge array of choice in video cards, but I'm considering the ATI Sapphire Radeon 9200se, 128MB.

Does anyone in the know have anything bad to say about this card?

Cheers!

Leaf knows how to spell, just not with his typing fingers. :)

which reminds of a post in another thread...Leaf made reference to "powering out" his documents for work when I asked how he does it (SF postathon AND work)....

she did say that, and much more. She is a very very stupid individual.

And now she's been turfed. It's only too bad it took our Prime Minister so long to do what needed to be done quite awhile ago.

Odd's are that Leaf gets 85% less work done on any given day than prior to joining the SF community.

I just need to know how he does it...I get buried after cruising the boards for half an hour...
