... I just noticed by sheer coincidence that Paco is about to ooze back in to SONG FIGHT , WoO HoO! QUESTION OF THE DAY: How is our extreme weather effecting you? Let's have a head count to make sure everyone is doing ok. If you're looking for secret Paco, you should probably give the Wasp fight a ...

A very funny Christmas story:

It's a blog, so the entries will change. If necessary, hunt down "The Year Kenny Loggins Ruined Christmas."

Merry Christmas!

Re: A taste of honey (I'm Eating a Wasp (part 1) reviews)

Ajl and Andrew -- The melody and lyrics have a medieval quality; the lyrics aim for a certain drama, and mostly pull it off, although a cup of tin is not quite the same as a tin cup. Something in there about wasp-eating, but I don't get it. The singing is very good. The capo guitar is a good match ...

Re: So Sue Us (pre-fight)

Good prefight thread name. :)

Not sure I'll have time for this one, but I'm thinking about it.

So: "Don't work ahead" is not an alternate title, and it doesn't mean "Don't work on part 2 yet." We're narrowing it down.

May I suggest American Gothic with a giant wasp impaled on the pitchfork?

Re: The Sting Cycle (I'm Eating A Wasp (part 1) prefight)

My entry for this fight is almost ready. It consists, in part, of a narrator reading a Dec 7 news story about someone finding a wasp in a Jaffa cake. jaffa_wasp.jpg I bet you can't guess what key it's in! This is juxtaposed against the audio of an encounter between bureaucrat Stephen Duckett and som...

Re: suggestion for artwork (I'm Eating a Wasp)

Shouldn't this be posted in the prefight thread? I wanted to talk to the administrators about both things -- the artwork because I don't really get how that's worked out here, and I don't know where else to suggest it. I could see how some of this would be interesting to pre-fighters, so maybe I'll...

suggestion for artwork (I'm Eating a Wasp)

Although it kind of blows my own horn, I wanted to let the artwork gurus know about this image. [EDIT - Image moved to pre-fight thread; message reworked]. Also, my proposed entry for this fight could raise intellectual property issues. It incorporates the text of a news story from the Daily Mail On...

Re: Computer questions thread

. . . Just not sure if there are more pieces elsewhere. If there are, they probably won't be a problem, unless they're meant to be a problem and have been tucked away in devious places like your startup folder or your services. But in that case there would likely be complaints on the web, and I did...

Re: Computer questions thread

It's normal for the desktop icon to be a shortcut. Deleting the files from your hard drive will work, mostly. The installation may or may not have put a few files in other places (such as DLLs in your system directory), and may or may not have added some entries to your registry. Sometimes a program...
