The Song Fight Bulletin Board

Inspired by Rone's 10-year anniversary, I looked at the archive and saw that we will soon start having 15-year anniversaries for some still active and/or prominent fighters coming up, starting in January:

- fluffy
- KOMPRESSOR
- add
- frankie big face
- The John Benjamin Band
- State Shirt
- MC Frontalot

And that's just in the first few months. Later on will be Ken, Octothorpe, Hoblit, prayformojo, Duboce Triangle, etc. Y'all are so old!

Maybe we should do some kind of 15-year celebration thingamajig...?

Absolutely! That should be celebrated.

Speaking of... isn't it the tenth anniversary of Spudfest next year too. Another worthwhile clebration.

We are already tardy in adding a "fifteen years ago" section to the right column of the homepage. Maybe I can (shudder) add that to the PHP for the home page...

SONG FIGHT 4EVA

I'd found out about Song Fight in December of 2000 (A B C D Puppies was up, and Zero to Phantom was the first open-submission title) but I didn't enter until I LOVE YOU.

Man, Song Fight! has been part of my life for about 40% of it.

BTW technically KOMPRESSOR was part of Song Fight since the beginning, being an alter-ego of drew, who was in the very first fight (Golfpunk Drives a Cadillac). His entry there was even a proto-KOMPRESSOR.

Add "15 years ago" if you can. Keep the "10 years ago." Otherwise you keep celebrating the first 5 years. It's cool that so many people have stuck around.

I completely, utterly forgot to mention when I hit my 15th anniversary. Oops.

I just realized my 15-year anniversary as a participant just went by a few days ago. Couple more years of being a listener too but I don't remember exactly when that started. Thanks Song Fight!

Congratz on surviving the fight for such a long tenure. Are you using a walker yet?

Oh yeah, my 15th was in August. Wow. I should record more. My new Win10 computer is not working fully with my recording softwares.

Not to hijack this thread too much, but I've also had a number of issues with my latest Win10 laptop. I've upgraded my audio interface and am still having issues. If you want to talk more about this in the Help and How To thread, let's do it!
