New album!

Post by owl »

I sent this in to the songfighter news email but I don't know if/when it will get posted so just posting here as well :)

My indie pop band Gentle Brontosaurus just released our second LP last Saturday, "Bees of the Invisible". Please check it out if you have a chance! We've worked hard on it for months. It's also on Youtube and Spotify. The title is from a quote from Rainer Maria Rilke: “It is our task to imprint this temporary, perishable earth into ourselves so deeply, so painfully and passionately, that its essence can rise again “invisibly,” inside us. We are the bees of the invisible. We wildly collect the honey of the visible, to store it in the great golden hive of the invisible.”

Some random Japanese twee pop lover on Twitter said it's their new favorite album of the year! (I think. It's a little hard to tell using Google Translate. But that's pretty cool.)

Congrats! I'll put this in my queue, sounds good.

I don't yet have access to the songnews@songfight.org email account and I don't really know who does except probably the old timer FightMasters who are not active much these days. I'll get this up on the homepage though when I update the site with the fight results and new title and new fight.

I'm listening to this right now. It's as if you drilled into my brain to find out what music I liked best, and then set out to make an album of it. I love it.

I really liked your video for Wicker Park so I checked out the album. It's fantastic. Your music makes me very happy.
