Client-server FTP products

Post by roymond »

Anyone have experience with products such as Sterling Commerce's Connect:Direct?

I need something that provides:

- automatic transmission recovery after network interrupts
- messaging support for transfer complete notification
- secure logon and session logging
- drag and drop from local or remote disk to the destination server
- configurable UI (optional)
- multi-platform support (Unix/Solaris/Win servers, Win/Mac clients)

These are far greater than typical FTP clients

They seem to be the only player in this game, but I can't imagine that's true. It's such a sucky interface and has caused tons of problems on the FTP server, which may be problems with the cluster but still...
