Heh, yeah, "in da couch" is what the dude at Ike's said too. And I specifically wanted something to relax with, what with already having enough anxiety problems as it is. (For me half a cup of coffee can do me in sometimes...)

Anyway I really like the Vuber. It's quite nice, and it's made by a local company (although they outsource the manufacturing to China).

By the way, how cool is it that your dispensary is called "Uncle Ike's"? lol. That's fucking awesome! I would totally go to uncle Ike's Pot Shop over some stuffy "wellness center bla bla bla" like we have here in Cali. :D

That's the difference between legal-for-recreation and legal-for-medical purposes. :)

Yeah, don't rub it in. You'd think a Brown governed Cali would be done with this nonsense. But no no, no no, he's got his donors to deal with like Jeb in Florida. Jerry and Jeb have probably gotten high together, for frig sake. Politics! 8-)

Isn't that just up to voters to get onto the ballot and pass? That's how it happened in WA and we have the same mostly-broken-but-occasionally-excellent referendum system.

Different states have different rules for voter-sponsored ballot initiatives. (Although, given 2008's Prop 8, I'd be surprised if it were that difficult to get an initiative on the ballot in CA).

This past election cycle, Florida came within a hair's bredth of legalizing medicinal Marijuana. Because it was a citizen sponsored initiative and not introduced by the state legislature, there was a higher criteria for legalization. They needed 60% of the vote, and "only" got 57% or something like that... What a crock, right?

I'm pretty sure recreational mj in Cali will pass in 2016.
Some say the biggest hurdle has been the medicinal growers in northern Cali for their financial support of anti-legalization. Apparently northern Cali is the largest mj supplier in the country and mj is our highest (pun) profit crop in the state. So basically the growers org, union, group or whatever they have, knows that their profits will suffer when every stoner and his brother can start a grow operation.
The other hurdles are the way the regulations were written up were terrible. It's better to just fake a back injury and get your MMIC and get your weed at an existing wellness center.

Fun fact: For those that like sativa for the active after affect but hate the initial paranoia. Chew on a few black peppercorns, says Neil Young. http://www.therooster.com/blog/keep-cal ... d-paranoia

Like I said, WA has the same referendum system as CA. Just get a certain number of petition signatures and it's on the ballot, and then to pass as an initiative it's simple majority.

Not hard to be discrete nowadays. I picked up a standard e-cig 510 style battery and slapped on a cartridge of lemon kush I got from Uncle Ike's. Tasty, effective, not terribly smelly, and looks like a normal e-cig rig.

I just use a dry herb vaporizer, from Uncle Ike's, because Uncle Ike's is awesome. I like the Afgooey blend.

Legal, but not at all clear what the mechanisms will be to buy/sell. The OLCC is scrambling. I'll just leave this here.

I'm out of Afgooey but I have like 5 grams total of other stuff. MAYBE I WILL SHARE.

A little fuzzy... from some of the medical dispensaries we've talked to (Kimi's got a card) some will be letting anybody off the street in to buy, come 1 July, others will still require a card to cross their green threshold.

Of course, if acquisition gets too rough, it's 15-odd minutes to Vancouver, Washington where they've already got all this infrastructure sussed out.

You don't need to fly a flag that says, "This car is full of weed." That's not something we would suggest.
Can I buy a "This car is full of weed" bumper sticker?
