Just got back from a week in Arizona, during which I saw two things that made me think of y'all, plus one I'll throw in:
- Musical Instruments Museum, Phoenix. Rooms dedicated to regions and continents. You get a location-sensitive headset with the admission, and as you wander near an exhibit, you hear the audio from a looping video screen where the instruments on display are being used. The acts range from anthopologists' field trips to professional stage performances. There are also also tributes to renowned artists, and more cool guitars than you can shake a stick at. We spent five hours in there, and it still wasn't enough.
