I thought I'd post this here because:
1) The illustrations in this article are hilarious, and the text is weirdly informative.
2) It would be a fun challenge to make a song utilizing Cookie Monster vocals. Extra points if Fluffy likes it.

Re: How To: Black Metal Vocals
I attempted to do a song with some cookie monster vocals once. I actually watched a bunch of YouTube videos about how to do it. I found some teenage British kid who actually had a really good tutorial. I think I wound up sounding more like Christian Bale's Batman though. :/

This wikihow also has some pretty funny drawings:

Ooh, at that bottom of that one is the video I watched I think:

Otalgia - I really like the way you handled the cookie monster vocals, like he's your angry wounded alter ego. Trading them off with more normal sounding chorus vox makes them not get too overwhelming. Especially liked the melodic wistful bridge, and how it is CRUSHED by the monster proclaiming I FEEL NOTHING at the end. Would have voted.

Re: How To: Black Metal Vocals
We did a growly thing a while ago, I think it was for CoT. Had a friend do the main vocals, and it was a blast to have a crack at something new.
The thing that really blew my mind was that our friend actually sounds like this in person, when he ...sings? No effects at all required.

Irwin: I'd sell my soul to jesus to program drums like signboy.
