Octothorpe and P.C. on a date you can't forget
Seeing as how we couldn't make it to Tampa this year, but we still wanted to play, we have set up this gig with Patrick Clayton (old skoolerz will recognize) and his new(ish) band, Role Mach:
Last I heard, Lunkhead was going to be in town as well, so there will be a little SongFight spirit up here that night. Any other locals who aren't headed to Tampa (you should be!), but couldn't make it like us, come on out!

I'll be in town and I will try to make it. I get in that afternoon and will be staying with friends who have a couple of little kids. If I rent a car or my friends want to go then I'll be there.

OK, I made a rental car reservation, so I should be mobile, and should be able to make it to this. It's pretty close to where the friends I'm hoping to stay with live. The only thing is that I may not be able to stay with them. I'll find out tomorrow. They' may have somebody else visiting them this weekend, but I can still sleep on their couch (just not in the guest room). I've also contacted some other folks I know to see if I can crash with them. Or if any of you SongFight Seattle folks are feeling bored and want some crazy guy who's probably really too old for such things crashing on your couch, let me know.

We have a spare room with a bed, not a couch. It's surrounded by construction materials and tools, but perfectly sleepable. Let me know if this becomes an issue.Lunkhead wrote: if any of you SongFight Seattle folks are feeling bored and want some crazy guy who's probably really too old for such things crashing on your couch, let me know.

Thanks, Spud! The other friends I e-mailed about it said I could stay with them, so I've got a backup lined up. I appreciate the offer, though.

Spud, you should post about the concert on the main .org page, just in case some of the anonymous listeners/voters out there who aren't on the board want to show up.

Done, Lunk. I was waiting until the last minute. Didn't want to pull any of the spotlight away from the big show in Tampa.

Good to see Mico and Lunk. We had a great show, and the Pathetic Wannabees were SO not pathetic. Their "Nazi Love Song" was tight! Patrick and company were amazing. Video to come.

Likewise, I enjoyed seeing y'all and watching you rock out. The Vancouver contingent was entertaining, too, even the audience members who were extremely enthusiastic. I wish I had been able to stay to see Patrick's band but I was just too wiped out to stay any longer. Hopefully I'll get another chance to check them out.
EDIT: Yes, The Pathetic Wannabes were great, too. Should we reveal the punchline of the Nazi love song? It's almost too good not to tell, but maybe it's best if people hear it themselves in context.
