Re: Google thinks songfight.org "may be compromised"
Overly long backstory: I was curious what the Google results would be when searching for "song fight live", so originally I searched for that. That's when I noticed the issue. I thought I would verify that the same thing happened when searching for just "song fight" before mentioning it on the board, in case somebody's response was "Yeah, but what if you just search for 'song fight'?"

And none of that matters anyway.
I'll see if I can find anything that might be amiss. Nothing's visible from the outside, but I don't currently have access to the server (because I never got the current account password after the most recent change). I'm just going to set up a damn ssh key already.

Apparently this just looks like some sort of false alarm, possibly left over from when the site actually WAS hacked and serving up malware a few years back. Still, it bears taking a look.

I was responding to frank's post, to provide some context for why I searched for "song fight", since I don't normally do that.fluffy wrote:And none of that matters anyway.
Anyway, thanks for taking a look, fluffy.

Oh it's compromised alright. Compromised with awesomeness.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Regarding a different kind of quality control, anybody have a tune that you "finished" but then decided was too lame to submit for a fight. I got one. A doozy. I'll show you mine if you show me yours. (I would need technical assistance in figuring out how to share.)

Please don't post offtopic on quality control threads (or in quality control period).Billymojo wrote:Regarding a different kind of quality control, anybody have a tune that you "finished" but then decided was too lame to submit for a fight.
