Typo on the homepage under "Five Years Ago", should be "Todd McHatton", is "Todd McHatto" (which I'm now going to use as my next band name).

jb wrote:For a while I was playing around with trying to write a script that would take all the entries and put them together in one MP3, with computer-generated voice between each song announcing the band name. Never really got traction on it, though it seemed like it should be possible based on some of the libraries that are available...
And then some prankster submits a song with the computer-generated voice and engineers victory! Which is much easier than writing a good song.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Does anyone object to me removing the footer disclaimer that says:
songs in mp3 format which can be enjoyed in Windows Media Player, iTunes, or other mp3 players.
Is Windows Media Player even a thing anymore? It used to say Winamp but I updated that since Winamp was dead (it's back now, apparently). Anyway, hardly seems worth mentioning that the site uses mp3s.

Is MGs songfight wiki still working? The main page link sends an error.

Good question. I'm guessing it's not coming back any time soon, I'll probably comment it out...

Not me. I've disliked that thing for a while now.

holiday theming of the website is one of those great traditions that fell by the wayside and I'm glad to see it make a comeback

I had help from Ken, JB, Frank, Jeff, and Leah. It was a lot of fun to do. Now that I've done it once I'm more likely to do it again for other occasions.

15 years since “more than soup”. Thanks for skipping that on the home page, as that would have made me feel old!
