Custom forum titles.

Post by Adnoisium »

I think it would be nice if at a certain number of posts one can choose a custom title(I.E. Tilt-a-Whirl,Capitol Blue Cross Monorail,etc.). Possibly after 100 or a couple hundred posts.

I think implementing any kind of incentive for a higher post count would increase the signal-to-noise ratio on the boards. Or reduce it. Wait. Which direction is the bad one? That's the one I mean.

Perhaps after a certain point you should lose titles completely. That way only those who really are interested in discussion would continue to participate.

I know this is a pipe dream, but I think it'd be IDEAL to have a spot, say, above "location," where you could indicate whatever bands you submit under. I know a lot of people submit songs under the same moniker used on the board, but, like, etc. and so on.

Ooh, Phil speaks of a good possibility. Although for some people (Glenn e.g.) it would be chock fulla names.

That's an easy one. You don't make it a post count related deal. You give everyone free choice for their forum title. Most forums I post on already do that anyway.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

I guess you could make it a free choice thing, but wouldn't that amount to pretty much just having a second name? I mean, what's the point?

This reminds me, I should switch up my sig. I haven't done that in a long time.

You should just change your location to Dreamland, PA, then.
