Most of your recent requests have been implemented.
*frankie please skip the rest...
The pisser of it is that I had outlined all this on my way to Louisville, as something to do while stuck in a hotel room out of town. When I saw the thread, I lost my enthusiasm, because the potential for surprise was gone, and it would totally look like I had caved in to user demand.
However, I have regrouped, realized that I am in fact nothing more than your tool, and gone ahead and implemented these features as previously planned. Woohoo.

So, being the silly and rather stupid person I am, I figured "heh, bet if I stream by title and then by date I'll get the same stream." BUT NO...they're by title, and by date. Go figure. Intelligent design may just be a viable theory after all.Spud wrote: You can now "stream all" an individual artist.
Your's truly...not worthy.

I think Erik is still waiting for his flying car, though.

Fightmasters' Picks
You can now "stream all" of the fightmasters' current picks.
It has been suggested that there be an archive of these picks, or that the pick status be somehow conveyed on the artist pages, but that it not possible at this time, as they are not stored. This may come at some point in the future. Or not.

There's a new post today from jb about "how to win fightmaster's heart" when sending in songs...
Would it be possible to include the "abbreviations" to be used for each song somewhere? JB's example, for example, says that if the song is "Look Good In Black" to send it in as "flamingnoobies_lgib" but there's no way to know for sure that "lgib" is going to be the abbreviation. "lgib" is the obvious guess, but sometimes it's not so obvious...
Maybe this info could be included in the first post in each week's prefight thread or something? Like...
C: One Beautiful Summer (obs)
V: Mad City (mcity)
S: Tanker Truck (ttrk)
That would help those of us who are trying to be good to be even better

Kapitano thinks this is a plusgood idea. So good he wonders why no one else thought of it before.

Here is a suggestion that I have no idea how hard it would be to implement:
The first time you recieve an submission from a given email, send back an email that says something like:
"Welcome to songfight! Thank you for your first submission! To make things run as smooth as possible, we ask that you send emails in the following format: 1) Subject line is the title of the song 2) Body of email is your band name 3) Name of attached mp3 is bandnamenospacesandwithoutthewordthe_abbreviationoftitle.mp3 (if a band called "The John Benjamin Band" wanted to submit a song for the title "Look Good in Black", then they would send an mp3 entitled johnbenjaminband_lgib.mp3). If your first submission was already in this format, congratulations and keep up the good work."
