Gallery going away

Postby roymond » Tue Oct 28, 2008 12:33 pm

JB says he's bringing down the Gallery. There are a lot of photos in there that capture the spirit of SF live and other events. And metadata. Is there a way to port it to Flickr or somewhere else? Do you need help? I can host it if needed. Whatever.

It's all available. But if you want all of it, I can zip it up and send it to whoever. It's just kind of stagnant and shouldn't be, not to mention all the maintenance and upkeep tasks that nobody is willing to do for it. So it should live somewhere else. I was kind of figuring people had copies of their pics themselves and could start a songfight group or something. I know I have pics, and Dorie has a lot of Atlanta Song Fight pics. None of which go into the gallery.

Lemme know if you want me to zip it all up and send it to you or put it somewhere for download.

Personally I like the idea of us just having a forum thread where we link to our galleries on WHATEVER, because there's no reason we should be stuck with any single site for this shit.

For example,

JJ looks pretty much exactly like Werner, too. Russian Blues are all basically clones of each other though.

(Actually I think JJ's a bit bigger than Werner, despite Werner being about 8 years older.)

Cutting off my long hair was such a good thing. Wow, I was scraggly at the 2011 show.

Hey, in that picture I am the one out of frame on the right holding a slice of pizza. Not any of the three in the frame. Those two guys are sometimes in BSS.

Scroll right. You're perfectly well in frame. Jeeze, what kind of photographer do you think I am? ;)
