Jojo Rabbit

Post by AJOwens »

This is destined to be a cult classic up there with Harold & Maude. It's taking flak from some reviewers for its flippant portrayal of Hitler, but you have to remember that this is about a ten-year old boy in Nazi Germany, and everything is seen through the lens of his half-formed understanding. Truly a brilliant film.

Is on our list to watch with the kids this month. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Taika Waititi is a gorgeous and delightful genius. If you haven't already, be sure to go find 'What We Do In The Shadows', and
'Hunt For The Wilderpeople'.

I loved this movie! Some of it might be intense for little kids, like @AJOwens mentioned. But yeah this was my favorite movie I've seen in a while, really funny and poignant and beautiful in a Wes Andersonish stylized way.
