Leonard Cohen - I'm Your Man

Post by roymond »

Some great performances, some less so, but over all a well crafted presentation of Cohen's songs, with very entertaining and occassionally insightful commentary by Leonard, such as when he was ordained as a budhist priest, he was hating everyone, but acting as if he's loving all. Nick Cave, Rufus Wainwright and Jarvis Cocker were great. The U2 interviews were almost stuck on and not always very effectively, but the ending performance is great in a Talking Heads sort of way.

Antony's performance had me in tears. So amazing to watch the way these songs take people over. Got the soundtrack immediately afterward. What a movie, what a man.
