Tropic Thunder

Post by Billy's Little Trip »

Anyone see this? It had some funny moments, but for the most part it was just ok.
The highlights of this flick are the actors. A great cast and doing it well.
Many original quotes in this movie that will live on forever. One I hope to get the opportunity to use someday by Les Grossman (Tom Cruise). "First, take a big step back... and literally, FUCK YOUR OWN FACE!"

that's not what it's called.

it's a alright thing to watch. there's enough wacky characters. i forgot tom cruise was in it and I didn't know that was him until the end credits and that made me think: if tom cruise can go undetected, maybe Bruce Lee really is an undercover police officer. but then I thought again: no, he'd be retired by now.

Jack Black's "your mother is a cankerous whore" quote is the one that stuck with me.

See, I told you. It's almost as if this movie was made with the funniest dudes, playing dudes disguised as other dudes, just for the awesome memorable quotes.

I don't remember the last time I laughed that hard at a movie.

I also don't remember the last time I liked Matthew McConaughey. Or maybe I do (Dazed and Confused, which doesn't say much for him). And Les Grossman? Comedy gold.

What about as Vilmer in Texas Chainsaw Massacre with Renee Zellweger? No one ever remembers that one.

This is one of those movies that's a boost for everyone involved. Tobey Maguire's cameo is gold, too.

And Robert Downey is a genius. I was loved the undertone of how Downey, like his character, is a much better actor than Ben Stiller.

Undertone? Robert Downey Jr. is the star of this film. Sure, Ben Stiller wrote and directed it, and gave himself top billing, but RDJ is the star.
