Scott Pilgrim Vs the World

Post by Lunkhead »

Did no one here see this movie, or did I just not find it in the Movies area for some reason?

Erin and I went to see it last night. It's a lot of fun. Not a life altering experience but very entertaining. Michael Cera is good, though I'm getting a bit tired of his shtick. Somehow I never seem to get tired of Jason Schwartzmann's shtick, though. he's awesome. Anyway, a good fun flick. Good music and fight sequences and visual effects, too.

Sex Bob omb!
A lot of the music sounds so much like my first garage band that I had to download the sound track. I love it!

This was a great movie. I saw it in the theater back in August, after having read the entire comic the weekend before. It's interesting what they changed. I don't think it was worse for the changes.

I downloaded the sound track immediately after seeing SPStW, but held off on buying the movie until the Blu-ray. It comes out on blu-ray today, which I pre ordered. Although I'm not a movie collector, I do own box sets and other movies in history that are important to me. This one will be in my library of movies I don't collect.

I have the Blu-ray coming to me in the mail as I type. I'm a big Edgar Wright fan... so I feel obligated to watch/own this movie. Besides all his movies come with boat loads of special features and behind the scenes, so it's worth it just for that to me. I will say however that I'm not a fan of the source material and I don't have high expectations. Here's hoping I can get over my dislike of all that... and enjoy the movie for what it is.

Yeah, I agree. Mostly because it kinda sounds like it was recorded live on a tape recorder with a built in mic just stuck in the middle of the room.... Which is basically what I used to do. Their songs are way catchier though.

Yup. Was terrified of them fucking it up, but lo and behold, a film I have now seen six or seven times, and love it just as much. How *dare* they kick Wright off "Ant-man"? :)
