Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Post by Lunkhead »

I finally saw this movie, after pausing my viewing of "Agents of SHIELD" several weeks ago. It was actually pretty good, for a superhero movie. Very little of it made me think "Oh man, that is so dumb." I guess it's a little groan-inducing when the introduction of new characters feels a bit forced, as with the Falcon dude and the chick from "Revenge". I'd give it a B+. Anybody else see it? Anybody else watching "Agents of SHIELD"? I'm going to try to get caught up on that show now. I'm sort of wondering how it will proceed considering the events of CA:TWS...

I saw it and loved it and it definitely changed Agents in a big way, so you made the right decision to pause the show.

Still unclear why they call him the Winter Soldier. Can he only fight in the cold?

Great movie. In the Marvel Universe movie version of the comics, it's *thus far* no.2 (behind "The Avengers"). A little bit "if it's not dark, it's not grown-up" for my comic book nerd tastes, but a very fine movie (let's not talk about the ridiculous, "spectacular" ending). Not only am I sp*nking rainbows for "Doctor Strange" (should have cast Joaquin Phoenix, TBH) but, despite indifferent responses to the "Ant-Man" trailer, I can't wait.
