Erin and Ken and I saw this yesterday. I really enjoyed it! It was exciting, fun, crazy, dramatic, and interesting. Great acting. The whole thing is shot and edited to look like one long continuous take, which creates a very immersive experience. You're mostly seeing the main character's perspective and hearing a voice in his head, but you also shift in and out of first and third person perspective of the other characters too.

Re: Birdman
Yeah, it was a lot of fun. Brilliant acting. If I'm being mean, essentially meaningless - "yeah, no-one understands what it's like having a performer's *vision*" kept coming up again & again to diminishing returns, from different characters. But hilarious. And touching. If Emma Stone doesn't win BSA ... Some weird NY geography. I liked it a lot, but it didn't blow my mind (except for the *big battle sequence). B++ at least.

Re: Birdman
Every time I get on the bus in Seattle I hear someone talking about this movie, and I keep assuming they're talking about Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.
