It's deadline day. Anyone else who wants in has about five hours to make their selections before I start giving out assignments.
I think this is going to be an interesting year. I think this is the largest collection of GOM choices that I've never heard of ever.

Ah yeah, this year I am plumbing the uncovered songs from my previous years, and focusing on oldies and folk. I'd especially like to hear a cover in a different style from the original, but that of course is up to the coverer

I saw all the songs, and there was one that stood out, took me back 40 years to playing air guitar on a tennis racket with my dad singing this song. I said oh please, oh please, and today I was fortune enough to get the assignment. It's a song that has been in my head it feels like my whole life. I hope I do it justice.

I have to say my assignment terrifies me. Four great songs, all of which are entirely challenging to my limited abilities. Oof. I shall have to bring the ol' A game, for sure (well, *my* A-game at least). Can't wait!
