Circle of Titles VIII

Post by noma »

Hi folks!

It's a bit late this year, hope you don't mind. I was wondering if anyone wanted to do that Circle of Titles thing again, so I started this thread. If you are interested, let me know right here, and if some people want to do it, I'll post a schedule and stuff. I'll also have to talk to Jan Krüger, who did an incredible job at hosting the previous seven Circles. Props to Jan! Check out the website here.

So, what is the Circle of Titles? Basically, if you wish to participate, you send me (or whoever hosts the CoT at that time) a message with a title you wish for someone else to write a song to. These titles are then randomly assigned to participants, and you'll have another two weeks to complete a song with the title you got.
If you wish to, you can also send in two titles which the receiver can then choose from, or include an optional challenge with your title. Some eager folks might even want to send me two titles and two challenges. Whatever you wish.

The songs will then all be hosted, presumably on Jan's site in the above link, and (hopefully) reviewed in the forum.
If all works out right, that is. Last year I had to stop right in the middle of the CoT because of some unpleasant personal stuff going on in my life, in the aftermath of which I quit SF for some time (nothing to do with SF though); and Jon Eric, who hosted the first six Circles, similarly "disappeared" in the middle of CoT VI.
Perhaps the universe hates the Circle of Titles and tries best it can to stop it. Well, to that I say, fuck the universe! This is Circle of Titles!

So, are you in? :)

I'm in! Hopefully the timing is going to work out, I'll be extremely busy during the second half of July...

I would like to participate. I'm not available at all during the last two weeks of July, so I'm not sure if the timing will work out.

Ah, sure, I'll give it a go again. Maybe I can get my kids to sing on this one, haha.

CoT might be cursed, but I've gotten two pretty good songs out of it, so I would likely participate!

I would do this, assuming my occasional lurking coincides with whenever details are announced.
